That's what I've always wondered about you guys. I don't watch the NBA since long enough but I've always read here and there that the Nba was rigged and could really never decide if people where kidding or where really serious.

The last time the Celtics and Lakers played in the finals, Game 6 or 7, the 4th quarter was absolutely terrible.
Somebody once told me that on this forum and when I did watch that 4th quarter again I didn't notice anything unusual.

Did you watch just the 4th quarter or the whole game? From what I remember, the 4th quarter was officiated much differently. They let the teams play the first three quarters then called everything the 4th and they mostly seemed to go against the Celtics.

No offense but you'd be pretty naive to think otherwise.

You really think Tim Donaghy was the only one fixing games?

To comment on the last Lakers/Celtics final, in Game 7 alone in the 4th quarter, there was a near 20 shot difference in FTs in favor of the Lakers, when the attempts had been near equal all night long.

I've watched the whole game many times, but that time I just watched the last quarter and didn't notice anything.

If you want to point me out the exact moments where you see some dodgy calls, I'd like that.

What were you waiting for, one of the refs to hold up a sign saying they were rigging the game? lol

If you guys say it's rigged, means that there have been some pretty dodgy fouls called right?

I don't either, especially when people talk about recently...because if it is, I just don't get some of the reasoning behind some of the decisions that have been made.

                  Re: NBA Off Topic

Please don't start with the conspiracy theories. It might or might not be true but we'll never know.

This was a funny read from a Wizards "fan" of 2 years quitting being a fan of them for good. The suckiness of the Wizards broke this man.

I became a fan of this Washington Wizards team twenty-four months ago. It was then that I began to watch them on a nightly basis, and shortly thereafter, I became invested in the team. Now everything I invested in the franchise over the past two years has me feeling broke and broken.
In my time as a Wizards fan and blogger: John Wall wow’d me. Bradley Beal excited me. Andray Blatche angered me. JaVale McGee entertained me. And Ernie Grunfeld confused me. All of that and so much more led to my ultimate breaking point — a point of no return. I just couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t continue to dedicate myself to a franchise that more closely resembled a flaming dumpster fire than it did a functional NBA organization.
The losses are a part of it, but it’s so much more.
I’ve had to play on losing teams before in my life. I’ve had to watch and endure the last two seasons of my beloved Jacksonville Jaguars. I’ve experienced losing before, and as much as I hate it, I’ll continue to do so — that’s life. But it’s the dysfunctional ways and the complete ineptitude of the organization that ate away at my soul.
Led by Ted Leonsis and Ernie Grunfeld, the Wizards are a dysfunctional mess. However, even worse, is that they don’t realize it. Because of this delusional brain trust, the Wizards have remained on this treadmill of losing for years now. They don’t care though, because they think they’re close. They justify the ungodly number of losses with excuses and then come up with reasons to give out extensions and pats on the back, rather than pink slips.
                  I can’t support that.
So instead of supporting something I can’t stand for, I’m walking away. . . for good.
If Ted Leonsis wakes up one morning, reality slaps him across the face, and he finally makes changes inside the organization — then great. Maybe the Wizards would become a winner then and finally become a relevant franchise again. However, if they do, I won’t be there to support them. Why? Because I’m not a bandwagoner. Call me a quitter, go ahead. I deserve it. By walking away from a favorite team of mine, I don’t condone what I’m doing, and I don’t condone jumping on the bandwagon of a winning team either. So I won’t do that if the Wizards one day warrant a bandwagon.
Like I said in the opening, I’ve only been a fan of this team for two years, so my roots aren’t that deep when it comes to being a fan. However, what makes walking away tough is leaving all the fans. People that have took the time to read my nonsense, the fans I’ve conversed with on Twitter, and the fellow bloggers from other Wizards sites that I’ve been able to meet in person. You all are what makes this hard. I’ll still be around following all the Wizards fans on Twitter, but it’ll be without that common bond of venting about the Wizards. I’ll miss that.
But with that, I’ll show myself the door. . . If you’re sitting around one day wondering what that idiot Kevin Hine is up to, you can find me on Twitter. There you’ll likely see me talking about my Jaguars, the NFL Draft, the NBA, college football, or making some kind of bad joke. Don’t hesitate to say hello though. And if you want to meet me in person, you’ll get two more chances at Wizards games — December 26 vs. Cleveland and December 28 vs. Orlando. Those will be my last two Wizards games that I attend as a credentialed writer. Forever.
Again, thanks to Wiz of Awes, FanSided, and everyone. The last 13 months of me writing here has been a blessing. And I mean that.
One of the Washington Wizards' biggest potential problems in this coming offseason may revolve around Tyus Jones.

Watching 2001 Finals was painful as hell. The underdog Sixers shocked the world by winning game 1 at Lakers behind 48 from AI. The rest is history as refs let O'Neal elbow Mutombo in the face on every possession and didn't call a staggering number of offensive fouls O'Neal comitted, which in number can only be compared to China's population. Thank you. Goodbye.

Nope, not buying that guys story. Who's really a Wizards fan? Besides that, who the hell becomes a fan of the Wizards two years ago? As if they were a 40-50 win team two years ago or something. I could see if he was a fan back when Gilbert was a relevant player and they were knocking the Cavs out of the playoffs. Whatever pain he's going through is well deserved. Wizards fan of two years. That's like becoming a diehard Bobcat fan last year.
