Kyrie and it ain't nowhere near close right now. With the exception of maybe two other people, this Rookie class has been weak IMO.

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
If there was a question between Rubio and Kyrie, that's over with Rubio's injury.
Might as well give it to Kyrie now.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
I just didn't want to crown the kid yet, but I didn't mean to word it like that. I just meant he's on the fast track to becoming more of a "franchise" guy than Rubio, who I view as much more of a complimentary player at his peak.
At Kyrie's peak I wouldn't be shocked to see him be the main cog of a winning team even with maybe limited help, ala CP3's entire career.Comment

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?
Maybe, I just haven't seen enough of him, but Kyrie reminds me much more of a Rose type PG than a CP3 type.
And I think Rubio will definitely be a franchise guy, provided he comes back well from this ACL tear. But then again, I think Rondo is too. Hell, I'd rather have Rondo than D-Will. And I think I'd rather have Rubio than Irving, but I'll have to wait until after his rehab to say with certainty.Comment

Agreed on a Rose comparison in terms of attacking.
Disagreed on the other parts of the postComment

I gotta go with Kyrie for the rookie of the year, since my boy Rubio is out."The more you sweat in practice , the less you bleed in battle."

Ricky Rubio underwent succesful Surgery
Ricky Rubio underwent surgery Wednesday in Vail, Colo., that repaired both his anterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament. The LCL tear was not found until he arrived in Colorado, where noted knee surgeon Richard Steadman performed the operation. The team called the operation "successful" in a news release. It has not put a timetable on Rubio's recovery, but such an injury usually requires six to nine months. Wolves basketball boss David Kahn flew to Vail after Monday's game at Golden State to be with Rubio.
Even tho it might take 6 to 9 months the least, I'm happy for this kid. Hard worker, and a good player. Glad to see he'll be alright.PSN: MajorJosephxComment
