I don't know about superstar, but one of the top PG's in the NBA?

Probably. He is deadly efficient and for a rook, his assist numbers are good, especially with the molten **** he plays with every night.

Kyrie is already better than everyone in his draft class. He's not as pure a PG as Rubio, but I'd say he probably has a bigger impact.

Isn't Derrick Williams stuck behind Beasley while Kyrie starts an has free reign? All Williams needs is more playing time especially with Rubio feeding him the ball.

I don't think he's rookie of the year material. He's got gobs of potential but I think he needs another year and an off-season of work. Definitely a solid player right now, just not over Kyrie Irving or Ricky Rubio.

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?

If the Nets had some sort of interest around the league...you'd be hearing more about Marshon.

Dude is just NBA ready. He has a veteran's game.

They'll probably notice come the Rookie/Soph Game during ASW.

I won't be the least surprised to see him go out there and put up Durant-like numbers in it.

I could easily see the Rookies blowing out the Sophs by a good margin.

Rubio, Irving, Brooks, Shump, Cole, Derrick Williams, Kemba, Jimmer, Knight

              vs.

Wall, Evan Turner, Greg Monroe, Cousins, Fields

Looking at it...the 2010 NBA Draft might go down as the worst in history.

I think Ricky Rubio will easily win "Rookie In the Most Highlights of the Year". That's an award right?

Seriously, the passes he made in tonights game were amazing. He's already probably one of my top 5 favorite players in the league now with Nash, Kidd, Ray Allen, Rubio, and Luc Richard Mbah A Moute.

The rooks have no big men. Monroe has been tearing it up lately, Turner looks much improved in all aspects of his game, and Cousins can still play despite being a headcase.

I think Kyrie should win it but the Rubio media hype train is gonna be tough to overcome. That and he just got added to the starting lineup.

I have to eat crow though. I hated on him HARD for about 4 yrs.

Who knows if Kyrie hits the rookie wall hard, especially with the condensed schedule. It's certainly his to lose right now but given the schedule this year and the fact that he played in only like a dozen games at Dook last year might lead to some trouble for him by Feb.

I haven't had the chance to see any of Kyrie yet so far in the pros unfortunately - but then again it's probably a good thing that I haven't been bored enough in the last month to watch a friggen Cavs game.

Honestly how can you guys compare the 2010 Draft to the 2000 Draft ...

                              It's only been a year ..........

                              • John Wall is be one of the top 5 point guards in a few years time, yes I know he is currently struggling with his shot but he will get it together as the season progresses. He has too much upside to his potential to be counted out.
                              • Greg Monroe is beasting it this year, currently averaging 19pts and 9reb.
                              • Likewise with DeMarcus Cousins averaging a double double this year. Once he stays out of foul trouble he will be great.
                              • Paul George is a great athletic defensive minded player with also a vastly improved 3pt shot.
                              • And as for the other top picks such as Evan Turner, Derrick Favors, they have the talent and potential. The only reason why they don't stand out is because they are buried in the bench by other solid players on their team that play the same position as them (i.e., Iguodala, Millsap & Jefferson). So its unfair to say they are a bust if they don't get the chance to get consistent minutes.

To me the top 3 guys to come out of the 2000 NBA Draft is probably Kenyon Martin (if not for injuries), Michael Redd (before injuries) and Hedo Turkoglu (before signing with Toronto). And I'm pretty sure guys like John Wall, Greg Monroe and DeMarcus Cousins will have a better career than these guys ...

Kyrie's PER is the highest since Tim Duncan.
