Not sure on their plans, but I think they still do. They just gave him his qualifying offer, but that doesn't really mean much. Monty has always preached defense, but he's come to realize this offseason there is a need for more scoring

The farther away that you can get Waiters from Philadelphia the better. I heard that Rivers was a horrible teammate in high school from a couple people ( not media sources like ESPN, etc)."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I doubt Drummond will fall to 10 for NO to get. But if they do, could be very...interesting. A Davis/Drummond duo would remind alot of Hornet fans of Mourning/Johnson back in the day. I think NO should go with Kendall Marshall at the 10.Acts 2:38- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.Comment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
BigEast, I really think that 90% of the class can come off the bench. They don't all have to come in right away and be starters.
It wouldn't be a big deal at all, especially considering, it's the freaking Hornets. They could use anyone, along with most of all the rest of the teams in the lottery.Comment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I think what Demps is doing at this point is just going BPA when it comes around to it, if Rivers or a guard is high on their board I expect they'll pull the trigger.
Next year is when they'd start drafting based on positions imoSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
They can still sign a free agent...
I never like a team to base their draft pick off need.
Although this draft, with no true franchise changers/superstars.. I could see why a team would draft more for need/system... than based off potential.Comment

Please tell me Chris Broussard isn't doing the Draft Coverage on ESPN.
They seriously couldn't find anyone else?
Sources tell him Anthony Davis is being traded for LeBrahn James.Comment
