I've been wondering that too. Like some guys may have received advice to reach but not extend, then do everything possible to make their vert look crazy. Especially a guy like Plumlee, who while athletic, could really use some positive pub because his game stats don't suggest "NBA player".

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Man, I know the Hornets need a point guard, but who needs to go more? YES we could take Kendall Marshall and maybe he'll replace Jarrett Jack or maybe he'd be a big role player.. Or we could draft a SG/SF and stick them in to replace Trevor Ariza because I think Ariza SUCKS and doesn't score which is one thing all elite SFs in the league need to be able to do, and his defense isn't that great either. That's why I was thinking about Perry Jones III.
So just think what needs to be replaced first Jarrett Jack or Trevor Ariza.
As for the Hornets second round pick I was thinking about Tony Wroten Jr. after seeing this mixtape of him (link below)
But after I read he couldn't do one bench rep it makes me think... what the hell? (Remember KD couldn't do one rep) Now after looking at the results I like Darius Johnson-Odom, alot..
Oh and Perry Jones reminds me of Paul George, and George is gonna be gooooood.Last edited by Hornetz; 06-14-2012, 11:50 AM.Saints Pelicans Tigers CowboysComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
The Charlotte Bobcats are eyeing the possibility of dealing the No. 2 overall pick in a trade that would bring a more established player, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.
Rod Higgins and Rich Cho understand that the Bobcats need more than just a talented rookie, whether it be Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Harrison Barnes, Thomas Robinson or even Andre Drummond -- to make the Bobcats competitive from their laughingstock of a season.
One source said that Oklahoma City's James Harden could be in play due to the Thunder's salary situation following next season. GM Sam Presti already has Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on the books for more than $29 million next season -- and both Harden and Serge Ibaka will command huge contracts after the 2012-13 campaign.
Charlotte was an NBA-worst 7-59 this past season and there is no clear-cut second overall pick behind Anthony Davis, who will be taken by New Orleans with the No. 1 selection on June 28.
Beal and Barnes can both help Charlotte on the offensive end while Kidd-Gilchrist and Robinson would bring a toughness, especially on the defensive end. Drummond is a high-risk choice despite his physical tools.
None of these players is considered a franchise-changer -- and that's why the Bobcats would prefer to deal the pick and land an established player such as Harden who could come in immediately and make an impact. They think this is a fantasy draft

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Here is my predicted top 10 "valuable" players in this draft (5yrs down the road)...no particular order:
1) Anthony Davis
2) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
3) Terrence Ross
4) Kendall Marshall
5) Draymond Green
6) Thomas Robinson
7) John Jenkins
8) Bradley Beal
9) Moe Harkless
10) Drew Gordon
I think 3-4 of these 10 will be all-star quality!
Not feeling Drummond, Barnes, or Jones III...my gut says Waiters and Royce White will be nice pro's, but I'm not sold their attitudes & work ethic will translate into them reaching full potential. I think Draymond Green is the biggest steal of this draft...was surprised to see him in 2nd round of a mock. His game is so versatile? I dont get it? 2nd steal is Terrence Ross. 3rd - John Jenkins.
All in all, i think this could be the deepest draft in some time. We'll see.Comment
