He changed the release point on his shots. He use to release the ball right in front of his face. Now he's releasing it at the top of his head. It looks much better.

Well that's gotta say something to the people doubting his work ethic.

Right now for the Cavs I'd put him right behind Barnes for the players I think they should draft.

UConn had a rough year but Drummond was awful. He shot something like 31% on non-dunks and 18% from the FT line in the final dozen games of the year. And most alarming he has a really poor feel for the game. He has no instincts on the floor.

Yeap, I'm really not too high on Drummond. Never really showed any sort of it-factor, and without the fundamentals I have my doubts he can be a solid role player.

I expected to see an impressive motor but I never came away saying 'wow'. I didn't watch that much UCONN btw.

Would it be far off saying Drummond is basically Hasheem Thabeet 2.0 (obviously more athletic though)?

I think it's tough to compare Thabeet to Drummond since they play different positions and the size is different.

I saw much more of Thabeet at UCONN and I just wasn't too high on the guy. It looked like he had just learned to play a few years prior to entering UCONN. He's a traditional back to the basket post up center while Drummond is a prototypical PF.

With Drummond I was expecting to see an Amare like type skill set and motor, but unfortunately I don't get that feeling when I watch him play. Who knows, he still has time to have more breakthroughs.

Apparently Beal put himself over Barnes today in the workout.

Also, it sounds like the Bobcats, particularly MJ, maybe thinking about Barnes at 2.

IDK, but this is shaping up to be Cleveland getting Brad Beal, and I"m getting way too excited.

Wouldn't surprise me, but he did have a strong relationship with Calipari/UK so figured Davis would have just started there

I think Beal only shortened the gap to Barnes on the Cavs draft board. I still think Barnes is at the top of the list. I'm also hoping he is.

You have to remember, if Barnes would have went out last year he would have been the number one pick. The front office likes him a lot and it's not like he totally sabotaged his draft status this year like PJ3 Terrance Jones and Jared Sullinger did.

Terrence Jones didn't sabotage his draft status.. The only time he was considered to be a top 5-10 pick was very early last season.. By the end of the season it was pretty common knowledge that he was going to be drafted at the end of the lottery and had some glaring holes in his game (still does).. That's pretty much the same place he's going to get drafted this year..

Nooooooooooo no no no no no no.

Kyrie was clearly the #1 pick last year no matter what. His only draw back was he played less games than everyone else, but no one in the 2011 draft class even came close to dominating the college game like Kyrie did.

                            Anyway:

I'm going to be so pissed if the Cavs pick ends up being Barnes (or Drummond). **** that. I just have a terrible feeling about taking him. I'd much rather end up with Beal or MKG.

                                I'd say DeAndre Jordan.

Thabeet has been a complete bust.

And it's nice and dandy that Drummond has worked on his jumper since he himself compares himself to Kevin Durant.

But does anyone have an idea if he's worked on his post game at all?
