Yeah, Jeremy Lin isn't the type of player that'll wow or impress you when you watch him practice. He plays just like any other typical PGs out there and doesn't really have any umph kind of impact with first impressions. So I can see why he gets overlooked so easily.

Taking this past game into account, his 5 steals generally negate 5 of his turnovers, so he essentially had a 7:1 ratio. Of course, TOs are bad, but...

Another way you could look at it is, if a player finished with 10 assists and 10 turnovers, he basically didn't contribute positively in that aspect because he gave the ball away as much as he created opportunities.
Coaches never look at it that way. The steals are great but turnovers negate opportunity. Opportunity doesn't always equate to points but there's also fouls and the energy it takes to defend.

I'm reading this morning that Colangelo is considering inviting Lin over to train with the U.S. Olympic team, wow.

You mean CP3, Rose, Russ & DWill aren't enough? smh

I seriously doubt he'd even make the team with them that deep at the PG. But the fact that I'm even reading about Colangelo considering it just goes to show how big this Lin machine is getting.

It would be a good look but dude has to deserve an invite.

Guess they what some pub and to lure him away from the other national teams he's considering.

He can't play for any other team, he's lived his entire live here, unless Taiwan has some kind of weird rule about it.

I think his game would be pretty damn good internationally. As a POINT GUARD on the international team, I'd take him over Westbrook.

The definition of overreacting. Stuff like this is how it's possible to really like Lin, his game and want him to do well... but still think he's being drastically overrated and overhyped.

He already been invited to play for Chinese Taipei in the FiBA's but got injured and was kept off the roster for the Asian Championships.

Republic of China offered him the same spot. (Yao, Yi, Wang Zhi Zhi and Sun Yue's team)

Here's a clip from September saying that he's still considering.

There's craziness going on in the 2k forum. One dude said he was playing as well as anyone ever. I put his quote as my sig and he didn't like it. I think it was the same guy that said he has the best court vision since Nash. Another guy said he hasn't seen anybody as good as Lin since Magic. I invited them to this forum to discuss it but they haven't taken me up yet.
