There have been other players balling their *** off too, where's the hype at for them?

I know Stern is loving this because he gets more people back watching his sport again. The same group of people he lost once Yao retired.
This would be great for the league, however I wouldn't go that far. Lin isn't from China. He is American, with Chinese decent. I'm sure a lot of Chinese NBA fans will follow him and cheer for him, but I doubt he will get a following of millions the way that Yao did, Yao actually being from China, and having many Chinese fans prior to coming over to the States.

We'll see what happens when they get some decent scouting reports on this guy and see then how he handles things.

Not sayin he cant be a good PG in the league, just sayin Im skeptical yet.
The difference between Lin and Tebow is that the Knicks are winning because of Lin, not in spite of him.

Yes, except it's not even a little bit like that.

Uhh, yeah it kinda is something like that. Maybe not 100% but there is some resemblance, especially the media overreaction once again.

In less than a week, Jeremy Lin has become the biggest story in the NBA with his stellar play for the Knicks. Many thought he couldn't succeed at the professional level, and yet he's proven everyone wrong with his strong … Continue reading →

I'm not for people anointing him as the next Steve Nash or whatever, but people have to stop calling him a fluke. This kid can ball and is a winner.

This dude is balling. He has heart. He plays hard, the Knicks found a special player.

Can you imagine if more players played like that?

I might not be sold on Lin just yet, but damn how can you not root for the kid?!

Tebow created all kinds of arguments about how much credit he deserved for wins. The Broncos won games with Tebow doing nothing for 3 quarters and then making plays down the stretch. Lin has played great for the last 3.5 games by any measure.

Tebow was a first round pick, NCAA national champion, and one of the best college players ever. Most people didn't know who Lin was last week.

The 2 situations aren't alike at all.
