Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread
It does. I don't think we're talking about a grade 2 or 3 tear here though. If it's an MCL, grade 1 tear, it's 1-2 weeks of rest and rehab. If it's grade 2 or 3, he might be out for the Playoffs. Usually a grade 3 tear needs a lot more bending of the knee though. I also know of some knee injuries where the knee cap can move and cause a lot of discomfort. I would think they would have seen that in the XR at the Arena though. Based on what I saw, it's either a grade 1 or 2 MCL or ACL tear. 3 years of athletic training so far is helpful at times.
Edit: if it's a grade 3 tear, he's definitely out for the playoffs and would need surgery. Just saw that mistake.Comment

Yea it was odd, he cocked his legs to rise and never got full lift. It wasn't from the downward impact. I may need to re watch it but I'm pretty sure they'll be enough gifs or clips of it soon enough.Comment

Who?
If the injury is serious, which I truly hope it isn't, then it was likely caused by structural damage or wear and tear on his knee ligament. Doesn't matter whether it was the 1st quarter or 4th, **** like that just happens.
I recall Chris Webber and Timmy Duncan injuring their knees in 4th quarter action. Rick Adelman and Gregg Popovich must have been idiots too because they couldn't see the future.

Look at the score. He was one of the best receivers in the country, had a good shot at being in the NFL and his career was ruined because Mike Shula was playing him in the 4th quarter with a 28 point lead.
I'm not saying this is going to ruin anyone's career, but there's no reason to play your best player with a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter, especially when your best player has been struggling with injuries all season long.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Do NBA refs purposely reward players for missing layups by calling fouls? Playoff basketball has really changed. If a player misses a shot, it's not always because he was fouled.Comment

These 3 stooges of a Ref Crew should be turning in their game checks, & just take what Riley has paid them...
Heat have taken 20 FTs in this first half. And drawn four offensive charges.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread
The other charges were legit, not sure about that one though.
Edit: actually after seeing the Baron one again that looked like a flop.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
