Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Elaborate on what? Everyone that's been here knows I feel about the Hawks just like Ex knows what I think of his 'standards/bias' when it comes to certain teams/conferences.
It's OK for people to use the injury excuse when it comes to the Bulls(like Rexis said, they were running thru every other team during the season unless that no longer counts no more), but yet any other team uses it, but yet it's not a legit excuse for any other team?
For the record, I understand why people really have no faith in the Hawks and it's because of their past postseason history, and that's fair. But to say that guys like Smith or Horford or Pachulia wouldn't make a difference in this series is BS, especially when talking about an All Star and a borderline All Star and if you have Pachulia out there, then that's fewer minutes you have for bums like Jason Collins and Erick Mop-pier(because that's what he is, a freaking mop). That's not just size you're missing but quality size especially considering how in the playoffs, if you're not winning on the glass, playing D or shooting damn near perfect like Boston did last night in every game, you're not going to last long in the playoffs.
Samething with the Pacers. People all of a sudden think they have all these superstars on their team but yet because the Magic won ONE game, they're not that good. Which is it? Either Orlando is playing better than people thought they would or Indiana is the 95-96 Bulls reincarnated.
Then the Pacers, who the hell on here suddenly thought the Pacers had all these superstars? Who the hell besides Wizzle thought the Pacers were going to make a deep run in the playoffs? Everybody has always known what the Pacers are, it was just a matter of expecting them to not let Orlando come out and play them tough. Yeah Orlando is playing well, but Indiana is good enough that a Dwightless Magic shouldn't be even sniffing a win out of them.
Then with Atlanta, not saying that those guys wouldn't make a difference, but at the end of the day they still weren't going to beat the Celtics and nobody had faith that they'd do it, healthy or not. Not sure why someone should have to bite they're tongue or be a contradiction because they have ZERO faith in the Hawks based on their track record for about four years running now. I don't see anybody getting bent out of shape over nobody expecting New York to do anything. Nobody is defending Orlando not getting any kind of love or confidence. Nobody is getting upset cause nobody is addressing they're injury situation.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Too bad for Baron. He was a shell of his former self, but you don't want to see anybody go out like that.
What's with all the ACL tears though man? Is this some sort of record for most ACL injuries in a week/two week span? Rose, Iman, Baron, Mariano for the Yankees?Comment

I just like how it's bias this or hive minded that if you diss the conference. Forgive me if I don't think the 6ers, Hawks or Magic deserve that much credit or respect.

They deserve credit, but I'm not about to give them that much of a chance in the next round. Don't mean to be biased or whatever.Comment

I agree. Well, prior to the Noah injury at least I though Chicago would still take the series. But like Ex said, next round will probably not be pretty."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
