Rex why don't you respond to the points brought up instead of calling people biased and hive minded.
It'd make your argument look a lot more credible to people like me.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
The only time they ever showed ANYTHING was their appearance against the Celtics the first year of their big 3. They took them to the brink that series and showed heart, passion, and players were playing their roles well.
Fast forward: They have been bitch slapped by the Cavs, Heat, and Celtics out of the playoffs. They have shown no heart, Josh Smith takes jumpers, and Joe Johnson plays like a mediocre role player. This team is the antithesis of not living up to their potential. Josh Smith is the weakest minded individual in pro basketball, and that's saying something, because Vince Carter's *** is still playing.
This team acts like children on the court with a crack head mother and a non-existent father, running around like a chicken with their damn head cut off. No direction, no leadership, no hope. Their coaching has been pathetic, their play calling is one step beyond remedial, their BBIQ is below horrible, and their management has decided to put selling tickets over making smart basketball decisions. *How much is that worthless peon Joe Johnson making? How about Marvin Williams?*
Get the hell out of here that we are being "hive minded" on the Hawks. The entire basketball community has been "hive minded" on them for quite some time. Until proven other wise, I'll just take that as a compliment and say, you're damn right we are hive minded, because the Hawks cannot prove us wrong. Underachieving waste of talent.

What is there to argue?
> Mack is arguing that CJ Watson playing hurt hinders the Bulls more than Josh injury limits the Hawks.
- Isn't this the same banged up squad that was gunning everyone down in the regular season without Rose?
> 24 is saying we didn't have a chance after winning game one, losing Josh with 4 minutes (down by 6) in game two which resulted in us losing.
- It's ridiculous to say we wouldn't be doing better [I'm not counting us out yet] with Horford and Zaza. We're losing on the boards and down low to the Celtics. I don't see how the that happens with Zaza and Horford on the floor.
We fought back and took Boston to OT in game three, but lacked the depth to compete past regulation. In game four the Celtics shot 64%, even a motivated Miami team would've gotten blown out in that one.

They aren't trash in relevance to the entire league. They're middle of the road. When it comes to playoff basketball they are borderline trash, and as OSU pointed out, have been embarassed more than once out of the post season with the same exact group of guys they have now.
Do you want this team to keep the group as is moving forward? You think they will contend in the next five years?Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Because there is literally no way to defend these Hawks teams anymore.
The only time they ever showed ANYTHING was their appearance against the Celtics the first year of their big 3. They took them to the brink that series and showed heart, passion, and players were playing their roles well.
Bottomline I merely cleared up the difference between banged up and injured for you. I didn't say anything about CJ Watson being hurt being more of a hinderence to the Bulls than Josh being out being one for Atlanta.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Let me get this straight so the Bulls get sympathy for being banged up and losing to the gahdamn Sixers but the banged up Hawks lose to the Celtics and they're "crap".
Josh Smith is out there playing hurt, we just got Horford back and I'm sure he's not even 70% yet, plus we're without Zaza.
FFS Jason Collins and Eric Dampier are our only healthy bigs. Caught the Hawks some slack man, your bias on another level.
i like the hawks but they so inconsistent, the hawks gotta do something they might have enough time to get horford where he needs to be.Hand Down,Man DownComment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Elaborate on what? Everyone that's been here knows I feel about the Hawks just like Ex knows what I think of his 'standards/bias' when it comes to certain teams/conferences.
It's OK for people to use the injury excuse when it comes to the Bulls(like Rexis said, they were running thru every other team during the season unless that no longer counts no more), but yet any other team uses it, but yet it's not a legit excuse for any other team?
For the record, I understand why people really have no faith in the Hawks and it's because of their past postseason history, and that's fair. But to say that guys like Smith or Horford or Pachulia wouldn't make a difference in this series is BS, especially when talking about an All Star and a borderline All Star and if you have Pachulia out there, then that's fewer minutes you have for bums like Jason Collins and Erick Mop-pier(because that's what he is, a freaking mop). That's not just size you're missing but quality size especially considering how in the playoffs, if you're not winning on the glass, playing D or shooting damn near perfect like Boston did last night in every game, you're not going to last long in the playoffs.
Samething with the Pacers. People all of a sudden think they have all these superstars on their team but yet because the Magic won ONE game, they're not that good. Which is it? Either Orlando is playing better than people thought they would or Indiana is the 95-96 Bulls reincarnated.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round
Man I will say if anybody saw Erick Dumpier out there on Saturday, there is no way you could tell me the Hawks wouldnt have been better off without a healthy Horford.
When I say the guy is pathetic, he is PATHETIC. Looks exactly like a tall lump of calcium on the court.
Nevermind Collins pulling a baseline move and shooting the ball at the back of the backboard. Who does that?!Comment
