I'm fully aware of Mirotic, but I didn't think anybody was insane enough to think it's cool to drop Boozer, pay his salary and depend on a overseas guy to play heavy minutes as backup 4.

I still talk to 1Rose, a former member and huge Bulls fan. He was the first one that told me they should amnesty him. I agree. So, there's 3. He just hasn't worked out like they thought he would.

Also, Mirotic just won the Rising Star award for the 2nd consecutive season. First time that's ever been done.

You do also know that when you amnesty someone, it doesn't count against your cap or luxury right?

You serious about this question right now? I'm fully aware of how the amnesty works, that's the problem. Doesn't count against your cap or luxury, but you STILL have to pay the guy which Reinsdorf isn't going to do and it doesn't make sense to do.

You're still paying him though regardless as a franchise, so unless amnestying him helps their cap situation to the extent of having free cap for free agency offers it doesn't seem to make much sense.

Amnesty Boozer, make a run at James Harden.

If you tell me the lineup of Rose, Harden, Deng, Gibson, and Noah is worse or about the same as their current lineup, I'll be disappointed in a fellow Bulls fan. I like Boozer, he's a quality teammate and has turned into a class act NBA player, but he just isn't the right fit for this team and I cannot see them trading him. If they want to make a run, they need to get even more athletic, and get a shooter that can get shots for himself. Screen curls can only work for so long before a team makes an adjustment. Cut your loses, amnesty him and use that money to try sign Roses running mate. Just my opinion.

Another guy that could work is Ryan Anderson. Magic will most likely retain him though.

Only thing I hope from the Bulls is they don't amnesty Boozer and then don't use it right. Next year might be a little rough anyways because our team is going to be regrouping from all these injuries. If they can't get the right player, using the amnesty would be a mistake.

They'll still be basically at the cap limit. Roses new contract will be kicking in. Not to mention Asik will be an RFA this year and if retained will cost more.

Dude you're not getting it, there's no 'not using it right.' Even if the Bulls amnesty Boozer and get him off the books, they still have 63+ million dollars in salary because Rose's new deal kicks in next year. There's no cap room anywhere for the Bulls other than exceptions. It's not best for the Bulls to amnesty Boozer, eat his salary and have nothing to show for it.
