So if Rose sits the last 90 seconds of today's game, the accumulating wear on his legs is magically healed?

There was no reason for Rose to be in the game, that late and with that kind of lead. There was nothing to gain. No message to send.

Probably not, but if he sits your season isn't in the gutter like it is right now.

I guess it was a given that his ACL would give out during the playoffs..

This is highly entertaining... Thank you guys.

I would've taken him out myself, but I'm not going to fault Thibs for leaving him in.

Not that his (Rose's) next step would've taken him out or anything, but the way this injury happened (without contact with other players), it just shows it was a matter of time. This just hasn't been a good year for Rose's body. Today's playing time doesn't change that either way.

I read it as sitting Rose at the end of today's game means this injury never happens. I see this as a "it was only a matter of time" injury.

How about not risking your injured star player but putting him in at an insignificant time?

It was already a won game one.

Its not that Thibbs did it, but he took a risk he didnt have to take and it bit them

Stop it. The Bulls are NOT, repeat NOT better without Derrick Rose. I'm one of, if not the biggest Bulls fan you'll find anywhere but you're completely out of your mind if you think the Bulls are better without they're MVP. I'm pulling for them and hoping that they can shock the world and pull this off, but I'm a realist too and talking about them winning this thing without Rose ain't being real in the least. I think they can still make the ECF, they're good enough for that, but they'll get slapped by Miami in the end.

Huge blow for the Bulls, I hate that had to happen to Rose, this has been a rough season for him battling all these injuries.

Only way Orlando wins this without Dwight is if they catch fire from three. Hedo or Anderson are the tallest guys in their starting lineup.

                          All I said was

"If I were a Chicago fan, I'd be pretty upset with Thibbs.

Absolutely no reason for his starters to be in with under 2 minutes to go. So dumb."

I wasn't blaming him or calling for his head or putting him at fault. It's pretty simple, I would be upset with Thibbs for leaving a guy in, who you all say was breaking down, for absoultely no reason. Up by double digits, the 6ers had already given up, under 2 minutes. It didn't make any sense especially since you guys keep telling me the guy was a ticking time bomb anyway..

You should minimize chances for injury...

Rose was also playing too intense for a sure win imo...
although it is probably a part of his winning mentality that he gives his hardest untill the end of the game.

The Rose injury has really killed my playoff buzz. I still see them beating the Sixers and the Celtics but it's gonna be a miracle if their gonna beat the Heat in a 7-game series without Rose.

And as far as Thibs, I don't think it was his fault at all. If Rose suffered this injury in the middle of the game nobody would blame Thibs. So I think it would be fair not to blame him in this situation.

So I guess Rose will be out at least the first month of next season as well.

Buddy, your talking to someone who was at NBA Championship games when the Bulls won. You're talking to someone who watches every single game. I didn't say the Bulls are better without Derrick Rose. I said at times they were better. When they beat Miami without Rose, they played very well. Read and think a little bit.
