Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
There were a few note pads left in the conference room. That may have just been one of the owners/governors taking notes of their own.
What I'm more suspicious is David Stern's claims of 100% of funds are in escrow and Sacramento has already contributed their amount to the NBA when they don't have a binding agreement or approval.Last edited by Coug00; 05-15-2013, 08:49 PM.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
I find Stern's assertions to be insulting.
History is important only when it supports him... 28 years in Sacramento is a joke. First the Sacramento team was stolen from KC to begin with and secondly a longer amount of history was ignored to get his friend a team in OKC.
If I were the Seattle group, I'd start on the anti-trust litigation and not stop it.
That's a punk move. This guy screwed the northwest royally (Seattle & Vancouver). He can't wait to get to the "Screw the Northwest" playoff series.
Portland is lucky they have Paul Allen, I'm sure Stern would love to **** them over too if he could.Last edited by s.gamernut20; 05-15-2013, 09:28 PM.Comment

$200m is based on 65 percent of $525m valuation. Ranadive would absorb NBA line of credit and Sleep Train loan, so take that $$ from $341mMember of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
David Stern set up meetings and introduced Hansen/Ballmer with the Maloofs, then used them to leverage Sacramento for money. He walked Kevin Johnson and Mark Mastrov through this entire process on how to beat the Seattle offer and got Ranadive involved in the group after Burkle backed out. All this after telling Ballmer if he backed away from saving the Sonics in '08, he'd get the first team available. That's why I blame him. He's a snake.
He really said that to Ballmer? What a snake.Comment

Yep!
Brock Huard is pretty locked into the Seattle group and says they're working with Silver for expansion in 3 years.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Agreement for new Seattle arena reached
I feel like they're a bad example. Yeah, their record is good, but their attendance this year was worse than the last year before we knew the Sonics were gone. And Seattle went 31-51 that year. Sacramento is better than them with a good team, but knocking them out of the revenue sharing in the league really won't help them any time soon.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
