The best chance of the Spurs beating OKC is how well Leonard plays D on KD and how well the interior defense does against the penatration of Westbrook and Harden. And then now we look at the east. If the Pacers beat the Heat and the C's (Which i think will happen) The size of Roy Hibbert and the match-up problems that Barbosa George Granger and Hill possess can possibly triumph probably the best run organization in sports.

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
OKC is on a whole other level than the Jazz and "Lob City" were. If the Spurs can get past OKC then I don't see how they don't win it all. Maybe Tony Parker should publicly doubt this teams ability to compete for a championship more often. :wink:Comment

Tony Parker isn't necessarily an "easy matchup" for these teams either...
This whole "they haven't played anyone on this level" thing kills me....our veterans have played every type of team imaginable...I don't think OKC is surprising anyone...Comment

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
I don't know about "destined" but I dont think i see anybody beating them in a 7 game series. I also disagree with the KD and Leonard matchup being the biggest, I think that the Parker and Westbrook matchup is equally important if not more. I'm not sure of his stat line, but Parker has really hurt OKC this year. Westbrook can be about as good as he wants to be defensively, but I just don't have faith in him to conatain Parker in the least bit for a series.NBA: Thunder

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
The spurs have faced 2 really inexperienced teams so far, I want to see how they match up with OKC in the playoffs or LA in the playoffs. I think they CAN win it all but I still think OKC has a better chance then they do.NBA 2k13 project:

How could you doubt a core that's won three championships and one of the most prolific coaches in NBA history?

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
I really like OKC, but just don't see how they can beat the Spurs 4 out of 7 times."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
If they stay healthy, yes I think they'll win.
Assuming Ginobili just has rust/conditioning issues due to being out so long, he's still got another gear left to switch into.
PS - Spurs fans, isn't it crazy what a difference getting rid of the terminal cancer known as RJ was? I think just cutting his *** would've accomplished the same thing.Comment
