Yes, they are. I've had the Spurs as my favorite to win it all since March and nothing is changing that now. Remind me of the 2011 Mavs- an older team that everyone thought their window had closed getting hot towards the end of the season and completely dominating the first two rounds. We'll see though. I'd definitely like to see the Spurs win though, I really respect that organization and how they've built a winner out of a small market all thee years. The Thunder are doing the same thing, but they have the next 10 years to win championships. The Spurs don't have that kind of time. -

It's obviously true that this core (Ginobili, Duncan Parker) has won championship hardware, but this OKC team is going to be a HUGE test for them. When their offense is clicking, it seems like absolutely nothing in the world can stop them from putting up points in bunches. Can an older Spurs team keep up with the young and explosive Thunder offense?
The Thunder have their biggest test yet also. The Spurs matchup perfectly with them on defense. I'm interested to see how the Spurs are going to use Leonard. The guy is a defensive monster and a good offensive player...he can be THE difference maker for them, because you know what you're going to get out of the big 3.
Should be a great series. Can't wait to watch!Comment

I think the Spurs are rolling right now, but honestly, anything can happen. You can only hope that no injuries derail the playoffs anymore than they have. The loss of Derrick Rose was a huge blow for these playoffs.
Having said that, as a basketball fan I hope any team except the Miami Heat win. If a team with 3 stars and a bunch of total scrubs win, it's justification for the terrible way they have gone about forming a team and chemistry.
Not to mention I don't care much (read: I can't stand) Wade nor that chump who won the MVP award.Comment

Re: Sound Off: Are the Spurs Destined to Win It All?
If I had to wager I’d go with the Spurs to win it all. Beyond that, I am rooting hard for them too. Just a fun team to watch play – they play fast and they don’t have an alpha scorer. It seems like everyone touches the ball on every possession. If top flight European soccer players played basketball instead, I would imagine them playing just like the Spurs.Comment
