Derrick Rose. Ever since I seen him play at Memphis, he's been pretty much unstoppable. His scoring ability allows for his teammates to get pretty wide open shots once the D collapses. Also, he does pass, so a scoring PG that gets his teammates involved should be easier to build around -- something the Bulls have proven with their pick of Rose.

1. Rose
2. Paul
3. Rondo
4. Westbrook
5. Williams
6. Parker
7. Nash
I would rate Nash higher, but he's 38. You can't build a team around someone that is only going to be around for another year or two.Comment

It's still Chris Paul for me. The right combo of skill set, age and injury history. If we were taking out injuries I'd probably make a bias pick towards Rose but I'm very worried about his knee long term.
Rondo has had a great playoff series but let's not get too carried away, at the end of the day he's a good point guard who is helped tremendously by the three Hall of Famers around him. I don't think Rondo as the centerpiece of your team would excel at all. He shot the ball well this postseason but he's a guy teams routinely give about 10 feet to.Comment

Since Rose is now an extreme risk due to his injuries this past season, I have to throw my vote to Rondo. Its a no-brainer with how well he has played this season. He isn't the best PG in the league, but hes young, a leader, an excellent defender, never gives up on any play, wills his senior citizen teammates to victories, makes his teammates better, and most important of all is still young and improving every season. He doesn;t need to shoot every other possession to be effective either. Plays the game at an incredible pace and gets my vote for sure.PSN: rose2kobe24Comment

Went with the homer pick and chose Rondo.Comment

This series has made me question Rondos defense a bit. Chalmers has been getting in the lane basically whenever he wants to.NFL: Bills

His defense is great when he's really trying but he lets his man get past him sometimes so he can go for the steal, which is absolutely infuriating.Comment

I thought we were done saying rondos hall of fame teammates make him look good because he's better then all 3 of them now.Comment

Re: Which point guard do you choose to build your team around?
I'll take the best pure point guard in the league. Give me Chris Paul. The only thing that gives me hesitation is his previous knee injury.
Second place is a toss-up between Rondo and Deron (although Rondo probably gets a slight edge for his championship experience and being able to take over a team that includes Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and KG). The rest don't really factor in to this IMO because they all have something holding them back, be it age, injury, or whatever.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Which point guard do you choose to build your team around?
I wouldn't pick Rondo because he needs capable offensive players like that around him to put points up. Replace Paul with Rondo on the Clippers and they barely make the playoffs, and don't win around. The Clippers need someone who can score.
Same thing with the Bulls. Any team playing a Rondo led bulls would be lucky to score over 80, but the Bulls themselves would be lucky to get over 70.Comment
