Happy for Lebron maybe now the media and fans from other teams will finally get off his back. Cant wait for next season but olympics first hope the boys dominate.

Anyone see when magic took a shot at Dwight for not being mature?? thought that was kinda funny..

Welcome to the "Big Three" era of the NBA. Now, after seeing Miami's successful execution of bringing in 2 All-stars in order to play with the one All-star they have, I feel as though the rest of the league will soon follow suit. Why not? Miami has just proven that it doesn't take years of building a team up to win a championship, simply attain 3 legitimate first-team all-stars and you'll instantly be a championship contender. Boston was the early predecessor of this, the Heat took it to another level, and I can see the rest of the league soon copying the "Miami model".

If the league does in fact follow this model, I feel like it'll be the death of the NBA, for me at least. Imagine an NBA where there are 3-4 teams that buy big 3's that are competing for the 'ship every year. Imagine CP3, Kobe, & Bynum in LA, LBJ, Wade & Bosh in Miami, & Dwight, Deron Williams, & Dirk in Dallas, along with Durant, Westbrook, and Harden in OKC & Duncan, Parker, Ginobili in SA during the same season? The rest of the league would simply become irrelevant and competition would become even WORSE in the NBA. There'd be no hope in winning a ring unless you put together your own "Big 3".

I'm seriously not liking this trend at all. Is it just me? Or do y'all see this trend happening in future as well?

It's great to see some of the guys (Battier, Juwan Howard) on Miami win...but I'm really becoming disheartened by this big 3 nonsense.
I know, right? I can't imagine a league where teams have lineups like this:

Boston - Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo
      Lakers - Kobe, Bynum, Gasol
      Spurs - Duncan, Parker, Ginobili
      Thunder - Westbrook, Durant, Harden
      Miami - LBJ, Wade, Bosh
      Knicks - Melo, Stoudemire, Chandler
      Bulls - Rose, Boozer/Noah, Deng

Hold up...What's that? These teams are already assembled? And we just witnessed an excellent (albeit shortened) season? And one of the best postseasons overall in recent memory? I guess I can live with that.

You listed Big 3's in the NBA and had the nerve to include Boozer for the Bulls? *Reports post*

No, sir. I combined boozer and Noah to make a conglomerate player Carloakim Boozoah.

I forgot to mention the up-and-coming/fringe teams:

Need one more impact player to be competitive:
                  Minnesota - Rubio and Love
                  Clippers - Paul and Griffin
                  Nets - Williams and Wallace

                  Fringe competitors (Perennial Playoff Teams):
Atlanta - Josh Smith, Johnson, Horford
                  Pacers - George, Granger, Hibbert
                  Grizzlies - Gay, Randolph, Conley/Gasol

So after seeing/hearing the sports shows thus far and some of the posts and threads on message boards, I can't wait for the playoffs next year. Wonder if people will be looking for Miami to lose so people can shut up with the Jordan comparisons and best player ever yadda yadda comments and blogs and so on like we we were hoping for a win so people could shut up hating him.

No Derozan isn't (at least not yet) and Camby was years ago and is nothing more than a defensive role-player at this point. He's still very good defensively, but father time has caught up to him. What does DeRozan bring except great athleticism and some "Wow" moments?

Chandler is a perennial DPOY and 1st team Defense candidate and Deng could make the All-Star reserves at any time and nobody would be surprised. He is a good/very good 2-way player and teammate. My point is, you are not making much sense right now.

I should have clarified. They are competitive teams, but both clearly need another big piece to be legit contenders for the LOT. Neither are going to be able to get past the Bulls/Heat/Lakers/Spurs/Thunder type teams in the playoffs.
