Imo, the Heat would be better if Chalmers handled the ball more and they ran more off-ball screens with Wade/LeBron so that Mario could pass it to them. The Thunder do that with Durant, and he gets plenty of open looks. as it is though, its generally LeBron/Wade holding the ball 90% of the time, and running a pick and roll/isolation. Not much diversity in the offense.
Can't really blame Spo for that then if that's the way it is cause that's exactly what LeBron did in Cleveland too. Dude is more comfortable being a point guard type, so he dominates the ball and not quite sucks off it, but it's close.

As for all the 'needing help' stuff about Miami. Not a single ounce of sympathy with that. This is exactly what everyone said when these guys got together. With THAT much of your payroll having to go to THREE guys and two of those guys pretty much being the same player you were going to have to fill out the team with trash, cause only trash is going to play for peanuts. Can't start crying about help at the end of the year when all the guys at the end of their rope that signed on SPECIFICALLY to be carried to ring are still standing around waiting to get carried to the ring.

All that said, it's just one game. The Heat, despite all those issues are capable of coming out here and winning the next four games really. So no need to start writing them off yet. When they lose in Miami, then we can talk.

How many times we've seen this scenario from OKC this year?

No offense ran in the 4th quarter by the Heat. No movement, nothing. Durant is a killer. Wade has definately lost a step, he's gona have to work on his jumper because he can't go to the basket like he used to.

        Not much else to say.

I won't go and say it's similar to Cleveland, but if you really think about it, players/coach etc. etc.... well I guess I'll just leave it at that.

I won't sit here and make a single excuse for anyone, but their depth is lacking to say the least. If Bosh was 100% healthy it would be a different story..
In my opinion, bosh has always been regulated as a spot up jump shooter so Lebron and wade have driving room. I didn't see him play any differently this game. Let's be real... It's not like he's usually like bill Russell out there

LeBron needs to make a huge move to get most fans on his side and help the Heat. How?

Do it himself and convince Bosh or Wade to take a massive paycut. Restructure their contracts to make like 5 mil.

Wishful thinking but..could set a good example as well.

You can't restructure contracts in the NBA.

It's the only time he can get the ball....they don't feed him nearly enough....even before the ab strain. He had a great ECF and Final last year when he was more active in the offense...

Interesting series, okc is the wise veteran team waited and attacked the right time. The skills of lebron and Durant in contrast had many similarities like the game lebron plays like the skilled rookie with many physical power but doesn't know when to stop and trust his game but KD is counting his steps his runs every dribble and fake that he makes count like he is a veteran player playing 10 years in the league and saves stamina for the right break.

Can they with their options? Like, restructure it when they "take" that option?

The Heat offense is what it is. LeBron and Wade break the play 90% of the time and go into iso. Same thing happened when LeBron and Wade played by themselves, and now with them on the same team, they are really struggling. Much like the LeBron led Cavaliers, this team is never going to be the offensive Juggernaut that Riles thought it would be. LeBron and Wade are too ball dominant to let that happen.

OTOH, the Heat defense last night was pretty bad. Lot of second pass dunks on them, a lot of wide open jumpers, and a whole lotta bad man to man defense, especially when it came to Westbrook. That's not the way the Heat normally play defense.

A whole lot of that bad man defense was being played by Wade too. He let Westbrook abuse him in the third. Then Miami kept inexplicably switching to have Wade on Durant at times in the fourth. Wade is too small to bother Durant.
