That's the way it'll be IMO. Wade doesn't have a prayer of guarding Westbrook.

Great game 1. The Thunder survived the early three point onslaught from the Heat and pulled it together after the half. Battier and Chalmers did their part, combining for 29 points (6-10 from deep), but they still lost by double digits. It's hard to see a better game coming from the role players than what the Heat got last night, but we'll see, still early in the series.

Durant put on quite a show, had a clinic of a fourth quarter while he put the team on his shoulders, and walked away with his first of many W's in the NBA Finals. Definitely feels like no moment is too big for him, he kept the team floating in the 1st quarter while the Heat were pouring it on, and sprinted to the finish line. Lebron may be the most talented and gifted player in the league, but Durant to me is the best player. The game ended and all I could think was I'm watching something special in Kevin Durant right now.

Westbrook wasn't super efficient by any means but still had a great game. 27 points, 11 assists, 8 boards? Only 2 TO's? Great game. Especially when James Harden isn't rolling, who other than Kevin Durant can be looked at to relieve the offensive pressure? Ibaka is the only other Thunder player to crack into double digits, and he barely scraped 10. Meanwhile, Bosh and Wade combined for 29 on 11-30 shooting (same amount of points as Chalmers/Battier combo'd for but they only took 16 shots). Westbrook was the third best player on the floor last night. If he keeps that up I have a hard time seeing Miami winning more than 2 games out of the 7.

Great game. Can't wait for game 2.

Wishful thinking but..could set a good example as well.
This doesn't even make sense... what does LBJ needing more fans on his side have to do with anything? He got the heat fans, what person outside of Miami going to root for a guy that doesn't even play for their team?

I don't know... I just loved last nights game. Everything about it. The match ups.

I'l repeat it again. I don't mind if the LeBron doesn't get a ring. I do mind if he doesn't fight back. And you could see last night. He was fighting. Not that well for his usually self. But he attacked got a few layups. He did miss every free throw for every and 1 he made haha.

Durant was awesome on both ends of the floor. That block on Wade to take away the basketball awesome!

I have no idea where all the 'LeBron has no help' talk is coming from.

The help he has is just not effective enough. It's just that simple.

He said in a press conference before the Finals that the Celtics series drained him. And then Spo runs him 48 minutes.

                It's not going to work.

You're telling me Norris Cole can't get into the game when Derek Fisher is out there and run circles past him? You're telling me Bosh is better served jacking corner 3s than somewhere inside being guarded by Collison?

Spo is jackhammering the final nail into his coaching coffin.

Its creepy to think that Durant is, what? 23 years old? And yet he's starting to show dominance on the NBA's biggest stage. The guy still hasn't even hit his ceiling. He still has to put on more weight and clean up his ball handling a bit. When he puts on some more muscle, man think of the post game that'll come with it. Let alone his improvement on defense. A shooting touch of Ray Allen and a post game that can mirror Dirks? Have we ever seen a force like this? Thunder in 6 man.

Oh I did...what was confusing was the comment about getting more fans on his side. What does him making a move to get more fans on his side have to do with anything?

That's the exactly the same thing I was wondering when I saw D-Fish in the game, I was looking for a Norris Cole sighting.

LBJ definitely has help...but his biggest piece of help isn't performing...

Wade is hurting the team big time.....that's not "making excuses for LeBron" or "omg he has 2 all stars" that's the truth. No one wants to have a pity party for the dude, but I don't know how you can watch games and not see that.

Spo also needs to get his rotation together....it's the damn NBA Finals and it ain't set lol

Norris Coles hasn't played a good minute since mid season. I don't expect that to change. That's a Phil Jackson kind of move. Spo isn't there yet. I think he needs to trust his bench a little more.

I'm laughing at these head lines "Durant dominates quietly".... What a joke! lol

edit: I also agree the Heat need to stick with the plan. Too many times they break away from the play and go one on one.

Also got to give Thabo some credit on his defense last night. LeBron missed a few gimmies.

Finally anyone notice how many times Wade was pump faking or shot passing the ball last night?

Westbrook is rarely efficient as it is but if he ever does become an efficient PG, then the rest of the league may be in trouble for a while...

letter, it's very simple why the heat lost and why they are going to lose this series. the heat don't have the best player and they don't have the best team. it's not about spo or the rotations. they don't have the talent and it's glaring. the heat want to run, really? against the horses on the thunder? lol or they want to slow it down and throw it into who in the post? lol

btw, duncan is not happy with avatar.
