You know, I'm definitely not Spos biggest fan, but I can't really put to much blame on him for this loss....

MIA simply didn't match OKCs second half intensity....that and KD/WB hit some disrespectful shots down the stretch,..Spo had some pretty good stuff going on offense IMO....his defense is what lost it.

He's def got some personnel adjustments to think about though...

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****

Utter shock. We let them back in with a big run to end the first half, and STILL DIDN'T MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO START THE 3RD... as much as I blame players, that falls on Spo. Spo is indeed in over his head. This mf'ers talking about how "the basket grew bigger for Durant"... damn he's such a duck azz coach.

A 13 point lead in the 1st half means **** in basketball.. but with our team, we should have been able to stretch it throughout. Certainly shouldn't have lost by 10 with that early lead. Bosh was decent but he needs to really stop thinking he's a 3 point shooter. 1 or 2 attempts a game is enough for him. And that's only when we're up, or it's early.

Wade was awful, though he wasn't scrub awful. He just wasn't the Wade we all know. LeBron completely dissipated in the 4th while Durant rose the **** up. Very sad. B

I just don't know why we don't play Joel more. He's the ONLY inside guy we got that at least plays with heart. I'm not saying play him if he's getting rolled and keep him in there, but give the guy decent minutes. No one on this team plays with his heart or half his intensity when it comes to paint defense. No one's boxing out, no one's stepping up on drives..it's pathetic.

As much as I don't wanna give up if we lose game 2... I think we have to win it or it's over. Really feel like we gave this one away, though I do give credit to OKC for ripping this one away. It's not like we had that 13 point lead in the 4th, but still..

        Wade is clearly hurt BTW....

Its really hurting him that he hasn't cleaned up that jumper a little more to make up for a situation like this as well...

Re: ****2012 NBA FINALS DISCUSSION THREAD****

One game, OKC came in rested and Miami came in tired. But this is pretty much the Miami we've seen for most of the playoffs outside of a few must-win games along the way.

LeBron put up huge numbers but it was "Excuse Me Bron" instead of "**** You Bron" showing up again. He displayed no killer instinct and once again didn't try to take over the game at any point in the 4th. It's why he was my X-Factor in this series, when he puts up his big numbers but isn't as aggressive or playing mad Miami doesn't have much of a chance with its thin roster. Maybe he was exhausted, maybe he's just too nice of a basketball player. Meanwhile KD authored the first chapter in what is looking like it might be a heck of a legacy.

I don't know what's going on with Wade, a big part of me thinks he won't go out like this and will turn it around but he's been a mess all post season. Putting him on Westbrook was foolish IMO and Westbrook abused him, no shocker there.

I guess we'll see what Game 2 brings. Thunder have now won five straight and are still unbeaten at home in the postseason...

Im not in here assingning blame because ot be honest along with his bad adjustments, the roster isnt all that great, but he is also a guy who can't get the best out of his players

Cole, and Jones are also on the bench rotting away, but the Battier Miller combo aint working out so well.. Shane wont ever shoot like that again, BTW

Not going to match intensity when your players are dead tired and you bench your hot players for no reason.

His halftime cliches are going to light a fire under anyone. I'm sure they've tuned him out a long time ago.

You feel like LeBron was tentative ehh? He shot more jumpers then he should've early, but I feel he was aggressive in the 4th, just missed some tough ones

                  Whatever.

If my coach told me to "stay the course" I'd be all types of fired up!

Spo also needs to stop pretending and abandon the "LeBron grew a post up game this summer" strategy. LeBron's moves are so awkward and he pump fakes almost every time, a clear sign of when a post player is uncomfortable. He threw in a some tough shots but it was a pretty ugly sight to watch as a whole. If you're going to stick with that then tell him to go Game-6 on the Thunder and just establish quick position and catch-n-shoot a quick jumper over the defender. I swear the man thinks way too much on the court sometimes. Don't over complicate your game, just catch and shoot your 12-15' jumper. You don't need Bron working on his Dream Shake during a damn Finals game.

LeBron didn't play well for his standards, BTW. His TS% was weak, had as many TO's as assists, and didn't have many rebounds.

I feel like Miami had absolutely no offensive cohesion the entire 4th quarter. Blame goes to Spo, but at the same time, they simply might not have the best chemistry with each other to begin with. Wade and LeBron are just so good it masks everything and they can always keep any given game close.

To be honest, OKC didn't have that much better offensive flow, WB and Durant just hit crazy tough shots.

LBJ played aggressive but some shots just didn't fall. He didn't score his first 4th quarter points til halfway through the 4th... but he did finish decently. Had an exceptional game overall.

I seriously doubt James Jones or Norris Cole make that much of a difference...

I don't know if tentative is the right word. But he just doesn't have that killer instinct. Durant was hunting his shot and you could tell he was just itching to make plays. We all know LeBron isn't the same scorer that Durant is but still I want to see that extra gear out of LeBron much more often. He doesn't seem to realize when it's time to stop giving Battier the ball for open 3's and when to try to carry the team.

But I guess he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If he tries to carry the team and fails he'll catch all kinds of hell anyway.

                                @Ehh

What do you want Lebron to do? It was mostly Wade's fault they lost ths game.

Honestly, Bosh and Wade should try to get going in the 1st half and then Lebron should be aggressive in the 2nd half. If Battier and Chalmers hadn't of gotten off to a quick start the Thunder would've been leading at halftime despite Lebron putting up 20 before half.

If Wade keeps playing like this the Heat are going to have a tough time winning period.
