    Biggest Draft Bust?

I believe the guy who was picked ahead of Michael Jordan himself, Sam Bowie. Though a solid 10 ppg, Jordan averged 30.1 ppg, to put it into perspective. Greg Oden also comes to mind.

I like how you think ppg is the only way to rate players granted Sam Bowie is a major bust.

No, it's not that, I was just using PPG as an example in that region, but Bowie had more rebounds a game at 7.0 rpg, but he was a center not a shooting guard.

No, you insulted his intelligence by saying that was the only thing he took into consideration. Don't backtrack.

Bowie is probably the largest bust, when you look at the sheer talent of that draft (Stockton, Jordan, Olajuwon, Jordan, Barkley, etc) not to mention their were a couple of other skilled players.

All this being said, could Anthony Davis be a HUGE draft bust?

Hasheem Thabeet in 2 years you'll never hear from the former number 2 pick.

Anthony Davis may not be a bust, but he'll never live up to the hype.

Ill contest that Olowokandi is far and away the biggest draft bust since the 80's

in 10-11 darko Was putting up nearly 10 point and 6 boards in 24 minutes a game.
However, i sight 10-11 because he was averaging 2 blocks per game as was near the top of the L for Blocks/48 minutes.

Although he never lived utpo #2 ahead of melo and bosh and wade, he's hardly a bust compared to The Kandi-man

....actually upon reviewing this stat layout for Kandi which isn't much worse, maybe Darko is the biggest bust based on WHO was drafted around him and THAT expectation. the 98 draft had...oh well look at this : Vince Carter (5th), Dirk Nowitski (9th, though he had a rough start to his career) and Paul Pierce (10th).

Hell, after actually doing some research I can't decide, lets look closer at Kwame Brown...

EDIT: So Kwame's contributions to teams he's been on and his statline lead me to believe that HE is the number 1 bust based on these factors. He averaged about the same Point and Reb totals as Kandi and Darko however, unlike the afformentioned Kwame never established himself as a low post presence averaging a horrible .6 Blocks per game.

After writing this It has to be down to Kwame and Kandi. Darko has suffered a few injuries over the last 4 years so i'll let him off the hook for that.

You know, i went on wikipedia once under the pretense of draft busts and they had a picture of Andrea Bargnani on there. It reminded me that people are morons.

                              Edit: oops, misinformation...

Also, i was unaware that Kandi was debilitatingly injured during the 02-03 season where he was putting up career numbers.

                              Effit, Kwame, Final Answer

PS. if injuries count as draft busts, nothing really beats Jay Williams does it? That was a damn shame
