That draft class was pretty ****ty, but there still were alternatives that would've been better than Kwame in that spot.
Other than the Lebron's and Shaq's of the world you can always go back and hand pick a guy here and there that may have ended up better than the #1. What I'm saying is if you go back to the time leading up to the draft it was a real crap shoot. The Euro scouting is much better today so there were more steals to be had back then. You'd literally have to be a monster like Yao to be picked #1 from outside of the US at the time (not THAT much different now). Based on his history, Gasol would've been the smart pick though.

I'll give you Chandler. With all I've considered, looking at the uncertainty of players going into the year and what they've done with their careers (and the resources available at the time) he made the most sense as the #1 pick. But what's that say, Kwame should've gone #2? #3 if we factor in Gasol? Don't get me wrong, he's a huge disappointment and it's not a stretch to call him a bust. But the "Biggest Draft Bust" I think is a stretch, all things considered.

I have to go with Darko.

If Detroit would have picked Melo we would be talking about the Pistons being better than the Shaq and Kobe Lakers. That pick would have changed the NBA as we know it. Melo would have 3 rings at-least.
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

Right or wrong, Melo would've barely played if the Pistons drafted him. He would've been frustrated and out the door as soon as contractually possible.

Even still, I think the Darko pick may be where I'd go for the biggest bust too.

I don't think so. Melo would have been coming off the bench his rookie season. But I think he would have taken Prince's spot his sophomore year.

Still wouldn't have been a big focus, especially considering how often he likes to go all out on defense. His minutes would've been limited (relatively speaking) as well as his role in general considering their offensive style. Larry Brown would've tried to break him. He would've been gone as soon as possible.

Got to go with Adam Morrison. He never showed any signs of being a decent to good NBA player while in the pros. Atleast Kwame is able to get someone to sign him in the pros.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

If we are going with Top 5 picks, it's Nikoloz Tskitishvili...

                Career Lowlights
                PPG - 2.9
                RPG - 1.8
                FG% - .304

4 seasons, 4 teams (multiple stints for each during the seasons) for the 7-0, 225 Bigman from Georgia (Europe)

Wouldn't call Morrison a bust. More like a drunk bum. Everybody saw that he wasn't going to do anything in the association.

Kwame is by far the biggest bust ever... He was supposed to be the savior for the Wiz, only to be a huge letdown

He is a huge bust, but at least his career had been somewhat productive and there wasn't a bunch of stars picked after him like many of these other busts..

I feel bad for Bowie, he wasn't a bad player, but he's always gonna have that biggest draft bust label hanging over him because all of the talent that was picked after him.

I respect your opinion, but I feel like the only reason he is still in the league is because of his size. Which, some would say is a positive of Kwame but to me he has done absolutely nothing to deserve any sort of playing time in the nba
