That's true but enough $$$ Signs will make ANY NFL Player forget about the weather or at the very least suck it up for a few months. Ask Nnamdi Asomugha, DeAngelo Hall and Charles Woodson and those are just a few examples.

I'm sure an NFL player can suck it up. They play outside for a living so they should be somewhat used to it in some form.

I bet a million (multi million) dollar contract would make you forget the weather. Weather is no excuse for these guys.

Fortunately that will never happen because there is nobody on planet Earth THAT stupid.

No. It wouldn't. I'd gladly take less money elsewhere if it means I can live comfortably there and not worry about the cold.

To go back to a previous signing, it may appear that Years 2 and 3 of Robin Lopez 3yr/$15mill deal is not guaranteed.

I'm the other way. Grew up in California and I loathe hot weather. Anything over 70 sucks balls.

I guess the cold really is that serious to some people then. I wouldn't lose out on opportunities because I was afraid of some snow.

I may be biased as I was born, raised and live in NYC now. Ive lived in Florida and hated the weather, culture, and wildlife of the place but that wouldn't turn me away from a career opportunity there on some comfort ****. But that's just me.

NBA players not playing for teams because of cold weather is ridiculous and any player that does that should be shot repeatedly. Especially a dude from Ohio lol. I'm pretty sure the Cavs got new jerseys because of LeBron leaving lol.

As for the Bulls headband rule, if the Bulls didn't get a LeBron James because of a headband rule I'd personally drive to Jerry Reinsdorf, John Paxson and Gar Forman's houses and curb stomp their balls repeatedly for the sheer stupidity that it would take to do such a thing. If you can waive a rule for a past his prime Richard Hamilton, you damn well better do it for an in his prime LeBron James. Headband rules are easily the dumbest ****ing rules in basketball. Pretty sure Pat Riley is a guy that had a headband rule previously too.

i think the jerseys is what helped him make his decision lol dan probably said hey lebron i want you to check out these jerseys so he looks at em and says they're great but in his mind he's like damn i gotta gtfo i ain't wearing that next year and thus he began playing like he did against the celtics

on the weather thing i personally think he got tired of living in cold weather isn't that what howard claims yet he will go to Brooklyn?

Not sure what to think about the Lakers having interest in CJ Miles. Statistically he doesn't look all that solid, but he's young and can be a factor off the bench. Definitely not the shooter I wanted to fill out the backup wing slot, but if he can D it up and finish around the rim, I'm for it.

I think Florida's income tax plays something because of the amount these guys are making...

Climate I think is a different story. I'm sure it plays into it. If I got offered a max deal from Minnesota and Phoenix, I would think about it but first I would think about the roster of each team and the plan/flexibility going forward. Plus coach, management, etc. so without question weather would be there somewhere but at the end of the list. Driving to the stadium in dry weather compared to battling the snow is a plus.

I would imagine that Florida tax is a big deal.

Let's be realistic here: If you have made millions of dollars over your career, you're going to live comfortably regardless of where it's at.

Personally, it wouldn't make a difference at all because I grew up in an area that got the best and worst of both worlds. Where for 2-4 months it can be 90 degrees but with the humidity feel like 105 and other times of the year, get hit with back to back Blizzards in a matter of days.

I'm sure an NFL player can suck it up. They play outside for a living so they should be somewhat used to it in some form.
And NBA Players don't, which is why I don't get it should even play a small factor in their decision of where to go.
