Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (Updates 1st PG)

Looks like Flight White is coming back to the NBA:
James White will continue his career in the NBA. The American forward agreed to terms with the New York Knicks and will sign a guaranteed contract with them.
White has played in Italy over the last two seasons with Dinamo Sassari and VL Pesaro.
White was the top scorer in Serie A in 2010-11 with 20.2ppg while in the season 2012-13 he scored 17.1ppg.
The forward has already played in the NBA with Spurs and Rockets averaging 5.6ppg in 10 games.

Now two highflying acts in NY with Gerald Green and James White. Would be dope if both can get in the dunk contest.

Between the Dave Matthews concert last night and trying to talk to my girlfriend before she took off for Africa for the next month, I didn't pay attention to anything that happened after about 4 PM yesterday, so I ask:

Have the Bucks done anything stupid yet?

A SG/SF to replace Landry. Come on Knicks, release that statement wishing Landry a Happy 4th of July and a good life north of the border.

Lee really couldn’t happier; because his phone “blew up” with offers and it’s looking like four-years $25.6 million is where his price will be.

Before you get crazy and think Courtney is out of the Rockets plans, sources close to the situation say this was a tactical move by Houston and that the frame work of a five year $32 million offer could be in place for Courtney to stay right where he is.

Don't know how credible this guy is but.....

            Nash wants the Knicks.

            Alan Hahn

Steve Nash, meanwhile, and the Knicks are working with the Suns to complete a sign-and-trade deal that would bring Nash to New York. Indications are the Knicks are his top choice, but because a trade is complicated (and there is great hesitation to give up Iman Shumpert), the Raptors are in play. A lot of effort has been made, however, to get this done.

            Extend Calderon ASAP!! Lol....

This could be wrong, but someone told me Hahn was the first person to break LeBron to Miami on Twitter (I didn't have a twitter at the time). So he's probably pretty credible

Alan Hahn works for MSG and the Knicks. Studio reporter.

Take it with a grain of salt and look for more unbiased sources. He has no idea what's in Nash's brain.

If I'm NY, I'd give up Shumpert for Nash.

Shumpert is still recovering from an ACL tear, and when you have Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire on your roster, you have to go all in to win a championship.

                      And Nash can do that

EDIT: Let's say somehow the Bulls play great w/o Rose until the Allstar break and sneak into 3rd in the east, then Celtics at 2, and Miami at 1.

That would potentially leave Brooklyn and New York at 4 and 5 = ****ing awesome playoff series, and start of a bitter rivalry

Agreed regarding Shump. I wouldn't hesitate at all trade him to get Nash (and basically get Amare too lol)

                          No.

If the Knicks were on the cusp of a championship...I'd say pull the trigger.

                          They're not.

I'm totally against the Knicks giving up Shumpert for Nash. And I know I'm in the minority here.

I can't believe the Knicks are about to do this. Why draft guys? Just ship off your first rounders every year and sign a bunch of old PGs to man the roster. Then watch them break down late in the year.

For everything Nash can give you on offense...who's he gonna guard? We have enough matadors on defense- Amare, Novak, Lin

I have no idea whos going to play point guard for the Mavs next year. Nash is who they want now, and it looks like its more likely he's going to New York or Toronto. Lin is their second choice but they haven't even contacted him yet and New York can match any offer they give him, they say they aren't too high on Dragic, but really whos better than him in this free agent group of point guards besides D-Will, whos off the table, and Nash?

Giant mess on Twitter this morning...

Robert Randolph, who's a musician and close friend of James Dolan, tweeted that Nash to NY is a done deal but has since renegged.

FWIW, he tweeted that the Melo deal was finished before any of the media knew.
