So what does Toronto do now?

Honestly just keep Jose one more season until he expires and use the cap space next summer.

As well, when Jose does expire, re-sign him to a cheaper more suitable deal and keep him in Toronto. He's been a very loyal servant to Toronto and loves the city and would stay here for his whole career if he could. As you can see not many of these players can be named with Toronto in the same sentence. Reward him for his many years of loyal service.

They need to pull the offer from under Fields feet if they're smart.

Dallas did offer the Max to Deron 4/75. The NYets had his bird rights meaning the extra year 5/100

New York would send Iman Shumpert, Toney Douglas and Dan Gadzuric to the Suns for Steve Nash in a sign-and-trade.

The Knicks have become the frontrunners to sign Steve Nash, according to sources.

Nash and the Knicks are in discussions on a three-year deal worth between $27 million and $30 million.
New York would send Iman Shumpert, Toney Douglas and Dan Gadzuric to the Suns for Nash in a sign-and-trade.
Nash is enthusiastic about joining Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire.
The Raptors offered Nash a three-year, $36 million deal at the start of free agency. Toronto also agreed to an offer sheet with Landry Fields, which took him off the table for the Knicks to include in a package for Nash. Despite the possible addition of Nash, New York still intends to match any offer Jeremy Lin receives on the open market.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Dallas or the Lakers go after Jameer Nelson.

to hell with him. he hasnt been the same since the injury.

i think we will just end up keeping Ramon, and thats fine with me. he is young and is a decent playmaker who can improve.

Melo and Amare don't deserve to be playing with Nash at this point.

The Suns are pushing for a commitment from Michael Beasley on Wednesday.

Beasley wasn't given the qualifying offer from the Wolves and is an unrestricted free agent

Hmm...Pair him with Gortat and possible Eric Gordon and the Suns just got better. Will Grant Hill be there next year?

Shumpert for Nash isn't close to the Melo for everyone deal. You do the Shump deal in a heartbeat and sign some defenders. They're automatically a contender with Nash coming aboard. Don't let Shump hold you back, he's a great prospect but it's not like you'd be giving up a bunch of prospects/assets.

That ****ty *** group they would've received from Houston and Los Angeles would been nothing more than first round fodder or lottery bound. No franchise pieces and no all-star level talent amongst them. Only one still sour and believing that deal would help New Orleans are Laker fans.

They would have ended up with two top ten picks still...

Uhh, Martin, Scola and Dragic are all nice assets. SMH at you thinking anyone's "sour" for believing that deal wouldn't have helped NO's.

Now they're about to lose Gordon and end up with nothing but their draft picks. They could have easily moved their assets for other players. I'm not saying the deal was great or whatever but you guys trashing the deal is quite a stretch. Nobody's "sour" either, dude. Lol.
