Would like to say hard to believe Harden left OKC a title contention team to go to Houston over 6 mill but this day and age it really isn't. Going to be interesting seeing Lin and Harden together...2 guys who thought they were worth more than their old teams wanted to pay. Could be a mess in Houston if they hit those loosing streaks.

Yeah maybe Lamb might turn out to be good, or one of the draft picks might turn out to be someone good, but its a chance they had to take. I think its a win-win for both teams. OKC couldn't afford Harden and they got some pieces in return instead of losing him next offseason for nothing.
The flip side to that is his game benefited from being on the same team as those two stars. If I am a coach going up against the Thunder priority number one is containing Durant. Number two is stopping the dribble penetration by Westbrook. Stopping Harden is third.

I do not like the moves Houston is making. Seems like they want to make big moves so bad that they force it. It started with the Lin deal and now this.

I think this is a great trade for both sides. Martin is a solid addition if he stays healthy and Jeremy Lamb can just take his place hopefully after this season, plus the 1st rounders.

I don't think Harden is worth the $$, but Houston needed a big name.

A lot of great players have 'vanished' in the playoffs/NBA Finals one time or another.

You can find many of them in the hall of fame.

Again, the guy is 23 years old, and has greatly improved each season, on both sides of the court, although his defense still lacks - it's still better than Martin's.

There have been plenty of max players(All Stars and All NBA'ers) who aren't clutch.

Karl Malone is a prime example. Dude was terrible in the playoffs.

not just a clown but a damn fool.

no way you should turn down 54 mill and a possible Ring for 6 million extra.

IF (and i mean "If" to the highest degree because i want my Lakers to win it all) the Lakers dont win the Championship, i sort of hope OKC wins it all so they (Presti) can laugh in his ****ing face.

if he ends up being 30 something and ringless he will realize the mistake he made.

and I would agree and give him something of a pass if the circumstances were different. If he played his usual game and got good looks that just didn't go in that would be one thing. But that is not what happened. He looked as if the moment became too big for him and played like pure crap.

And your comparison of him to Martin would be great if it was something close to a player for player swap -- it's not. Houston also sent two firsts and a second round draft picks.

You bring up his age again, okay sure he is young. Remind me, how old are Westbrook and Durant? Oh but surely it is unfair to compare him to those two and expect him to be at their level right? I mean it is not as if anyone is saying he is equal to them or arguing that he is worth just as much as they are...oh wait, Houston is going to give Harden a max contract...

                        24.7 ppg 10.7 rpg on 46% shooting.

yeah those are terrible playoff numbers.

Martin plays horrible defense, Iblaka better be ready for this. At times he's not even there.

With that said, with all the rumored moves the Rockets could have made...the Dwight rental and the Pau (Basketball Reasons) trade that never was, this one has me more excited than the other two. The Other two I am glad didn't happen.

Very smart move for OKC. Martin will fill in for Harden just fine, and with the way OKC develops prospects, Lamb could be just as good as Harden in a few years.

Fans may not like it now, but they would have been way more mad if they lost Harden for nothing in the off-season.

OKC now has a NICE bench unit...Maynor, Thabo, Lamb, PJ3, Collison.
