He said he couldn't picture himself in a Laker jersey because he's played them in the playoffs a number of times.

He didn't quite "lie" but he did insinuate that he would rather choose a different team to play for.

      In Nash sign-and-trade, Suns will get 2013 & 2015 first-round picks and 2013 & 2014 second-round picks

I can live with the fact that Steve Nash just went back on his word. Why would the Suns do this? They're trading the face of their franchise to a team within their division for what will be some very late draft picks. I really don't get it at all.

They were going to lose Steve for nothing at all.

If you can get something of value for Steve, you may as well do it.

"Nash appealed to Suns management to send him to lone suitor of four finalists that could keep him in title hunt & within hour flight of kids"

Marc Stein just tweeted that. I wonder who the other finalist was, surely New York and Dallas were two of them, probably Miami would be my guess.

That's touching and all Steve, but if you wanna be close to your kids so bad, just retire.

They're ****ed either way, they're gonna have low draft picks of their own for the next few years so they might as well pick up some extra ones.

Phoenix probably should've traded his *** during the season cause they pretty much got nothing for him anyway. Those draft picks ain't worth jack. Go ahead players. Just keep screwing over the next generation of players after the guys before you set you up sweetly.

Come on OSU...you know those picks are virtually worthless.

Why didn't Cleveland trade lebron? Instead of letting him walk.
