Would blame that on Jeff Green getting 9mil per more so than Ray getting 6.

Still baffled by that one. Especially for how poorly he played when he was healthy.

Has that been confirmed yet? I'm not mad at that one, He was scheduled to get 8.5 to 9 Mil per year. Still only 25.

I saw as recent as yesterday that it was pretty much a done deal that on the 11th he would sign.

I guess the youth did play a factor, and he's a decent player, but you never know how guys are going to come back from something like that, and coupled with what I said earlier, that he really didn't play all that well when he was healthy.

However, I wish him the best.

Hate to put this out there because there's no source to it but a friend is telling me:

          Spoiler

I hate putting things up without a legit source (netsdaily) but it's something to chew on.

So what is anyone's opinion on the Eric Gordon situation? It seems he really wants to get to Phoenix and leave New Orleans behind. Even to the point of being disappointed if NO matches the Suns' offer. What should the Hornets do? It seems like a losing situation either way. And if EG walks, who can we pick up to salvage the situation?

Don't want that trade. I'm assuming Humphries gets signed long term.

It's just a confusing situation, he feels disrespected apparently by their 4yr/$50 mill offer in Jan and that they haven't talked since 7/1(Hard to do imo when EG is traveling across the USA everyday). A lot of his comments contradict what he's said in the past and what Monty/Demps have said as of late before/after the draft.

It's very well possible that if Demps/Monty sit down with him he'll be fine, but at this point I don't care if he's on the team or not. S&T him with PHX or Match and trade next offseason if he's still unhappy, don't let him just walk imo

I dont get this deal for ORL or Philly, doesn't ORL want JRich or Hedo in the deal, and Philly trading Iggy for Humphries? Is Philly trying to move Iggy that hard? Would be a great deal for BK.

The difference is the Nets ALREADY made the moves to get players, Dallas would've gone and gotten guys after they signed D-Will because they didn't have as much money throw around. Can't really be mad at him, I'm not at all, the dude made a tough decision and I wish him the best. Same with J-Kidd, makes perfect sense for him to go to New York, back up and mentor Lin and compete for a championship better than a dismantled Dallas team.

Guys I want the Mavs to pursue at this point:
                    1. Elton Brand, I like him a lot and I think he would be a solid guy to play behind Dirk and at times with Dirk
                    2. Delonte West, just go resign him already, Mavs fans love him, Dirk loves him, Carlisle loves him, go get him
                    3. Ramon Sessions, we need a starting point guard, and Roddy isn't ready to get thrown into the fire, get Sessions if the money isn't too high
                    4. Marcus Camby, this one's more a long shot, but I would like to see a mix of Camby and Haywood at center, that would be relatively solid

I also want to see us try to resign Ian Mahinmi too, but only if the price is right of course and I wouldn't mind seeing us try to get Josh Howard to come back to Dallas, I think he could still be a solid bench contributor, and he's still pretty popular in Dallas. Cardinal will probably get resigned to the vet minimum, if nothing else because he and Dirk are really good friends and he's a great locker room guy. Yi is expendable, if no one goes after him, I wouldn't mind bringing him back.

Agreed, I've always like the Hornets, and I was genuinely excited for this season as I believed there'd be some good improvement. I'd hate to see those chances drop because of this. It's the closest thing to a local team I have!

Hopefully the Cavs get involved in a deal to add some picks or young talent, like taking on Hedo or JRich and a 1st round pick. Hell, Id include Andy V in the deal, would be great off the bench for BK.

The Mavs' hands were tied. They literally COULD NOT afford to get another big name guy like the Nets did. The Nets won him over and it was a great job by them.

Yeah it's rough cause I ecstatic for the season as even if they weren't good I was hoping it'd be an OKC thing where it'd be at least fun to watch these guys progress together, EG is putting a small damper on that right now.

If Im DAL, I resign Delonte, but dont go after Sessions, IMO he is not a starting G in the league. Delonte is a jack of all, master of none type of player, where Sessions defense is terrible, streaky jump shot, and he tends to force the issue. Lou Williams could be good for DAL. Iggy would look nice in a Mavs uni as well IMO.
