They have everything that some big market teams don't even have on top of the fact they're currently one of the best teams in the league and have a nice window of opportunity to win a title and that's still not attractive to players?

    I seriously don't get it.

Agreed. The more I think about it, the more I see why they have to bring Lin back and I don't mind this Kidd contract if he's there to teach the kid about good decision making.

I don't even see Kidd surviving for three years so it's probably irrelevant the length of the deal.

Oh ye. You guys now have a solid PG's. I think Kidd will help Shumpert as much as Lin. Defense is another issue with those two though

Probably has more to do with them not really needing much outside help, just improve their current basketball product and when you throw in James Harden and Ibaka's upcoming extension, it probably made Presti a little more apprehensive about committing too much cap to any player(s).

If you look at it from another perspective...what the Knicks are paying Kidd is what they would have had to pay Landry Fields before Toronto gift-wrapped us an early Christmas present.

The Knicks basically just flipped Landry Fields for Jason Kidd.

I'd say that's a good deal every day of the week.

Okay, I think I give up...

Does the Mavs have a severe case of the cooties or something? I thought we at least had J-Kidd in the bag, but no, he bolts too.

Has OKC attempted to sign anyone? Don't they already have the issue of trying to afford Ibaka and Harden?

How much money does OKC have to offer FA's Pack? They got major bucks wrapped up in Westbrook, KD, and Perkins plus they got Harden and Ibaka to worry about soon. OKC may not want to commit many contracts to FA's. I've never been to OKC but I don't see the city itself as a main attraction like MIA,NY, LA, etc.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Kidd is/was one of my favorite athletes in all sports(especially after what he did to the Nets)but seeing him go to the Knicks......personally, I look at that like Favre going to the Vikings all over again.

Good move for the Knicks though.

OKC has the issue of do they want to go over the luxury tax to keep both Ibaka and Harden. If this Perry Jones pick works out they will have one of the best off-seasons.

Although I would like it if they had a shooter coming off the bench. Cook isn't cutting it at all.

Oh I'm not saying THEY should be throwing money out there like they NEED someone but just looking at these FAs and their "lists", just curious why I haven't seen OKC's name on any of them.

But then again, it's still 4 days into FA so maybe all that will change later on.

Don't get the hate on the Thabeet signing.

I mean Juwan Howard led the Heat to a title, Thabeet is 7'3" just imagine the moves he can do on the bench

Product of the system. Mario Manningham led the Giants to the Superbowl. Only right that Juwan Howard carries the Heat on his back to a championship.
