Because everything we hear on ESPN is surely gospel.

Miami's bench played awesome in the finals.

Don't forget the Thunder get Maynor back.

I still don't think Dwight will want another rebuilding project, it'll be the same situation he had in Orlando, maybe it is smarter for Dwight to sign a 3 year deal then he can leave when the rest of the team is gone. Or just leave next year.

and about 15 minute ago it was said on your precious ESPN that he's not resigning and will be a free agent. So now what.

As a lifelong Magic fan, I remember being back in high school and feeling sad that Shaq left for L.A.
Now as an adult, I'm ecstatic that dwight is gone along with all of his drama. Shaq was fun to watch in a Magic jersey! Maybe Jack Nicholson can give him some acting advice the next time head coach calls him out for lying about wanting the head coach fired

Chalmers played better than the Miami bench.

Maynor is a non-factor. He's maybe, slightly better than Fisher.

There is no way anyone can convince me that a team with a top 5 PG, the best center in the game, one of the best PF, and Kobe is not the leader in the West.

Even with Durant and Westbrook, I'm not sure that OKC has the horses to beat them. It'll be a very good battle, but the Lakers talent and experience should carry them.

I can understand about you being glad he's gone, but you can't possibly be satisfied with return...

Wow you obviously do not understand. Why would he re-sign with the Lakers right now? Please tell me. Do you know he will get more money if he becomes a free agent & the team with his bird rights can offer more years & money than any other team.

The Magic just a took a huge dump on their fans tonight. This is one of the most lopsided trades I've seen in the history of professional sports. They got 20 cents on the dollar for Howard. Incredible.
Easy to say when you only have three buyers who all know they can get him for nothing next year, lol.

Now if ORL gives up Andrew Nicholson, then it's the worst deal of all time.

BTW, what the hell are the 76ers doing? I mean, I guess they are trying to hop off the treadmill of mediocrity, but renting Bynum isn't the way to do that.

.... He didn't mean right now. He meant after the year. Dwight howard becoming an FA after the year has been confirmed....

Lakers are gambling on Dwight enjoying his time in LA, nothing is certain, but with bird rights and Nash/Kobe/Pau and a front office that has proven time and time again they'll steal your girl and wallet while at dinner, and leave the bill for you to pay I think its a sound gamble. LA will be his once Kobe passes, and LA will have cap room to spread to enter a new post Kobe era featuring Dwight should he maintain being a Laker. I'm ok with the dice roll, Bynum was the same dice roll anyway.
