He's been a flip flopping buffoon all off season. Hell, even I was "hating" him. Why is it hard to understand this?

Him, coupled with going to the Lakers... hell yes there is going to be a lot of resentment from others.

Am I happy we got him? Absolutely

Is he going to catch deserved bitterness from people? Of course he is.

It is what it is, lets just let it play out and see what happens without making preposterous guarantees.

With that said, I'm not going to say the Thunder could have won the series because the better team wins in crunch time. Period.

LA is a better team but I don't think they're that much better. Bynum was really good.

Lets not also forget that OKC is continuing to improved every year. Our three best players haven't even reached their full potential while Kobe, Nash, and Gasol are past their prime.

Even if you're a Laker fan, you have to agree that the Laker's three stars best basketball is behind them. That doesn't mean they're still good, I'm just trying to make a point.

OKC has gotten farther every year in the post-season the past three years. That isn't a fluke. The team is still getting better each year because they're so young.

Playing in the NBA Finals, having our three best players play in the Olympics, and getting Maynor back will help immensely next year.
Don't forget about the steal of the draft
Perry Jones looks solid, if their was a summer league MVP it would have come down to sully and PJ3. I think he's the one thing OKC needed to make them the best but only time will tell.

ya good point, but this is worse than the Pau Gasol trade

I swear, teams seem to love trading franchise players to the Lakers without getting much back

They gave Dalembert a 6 year 60 million dollar contract. I don't think they are notorious for not paying their players.

They could have gotten a player like Scola and/or Martin, gotten rid of Turkuglo and Richardsons contract, got a top protected 1st and any two of Lamb/White/Jones from Houston all without Howard's commitment. That's way better than what they are getting now. Hell I'd take Brooks and Lopez and shed Richardson and Duhon over this deal. I thought it was awful when they took back Gasol and I really respect Gasol's game.

Teams are always looking for other teams with deep pockets to take in their better players for a little financial flexibility, who knows how the grizzlies would be right now if they kept Pau. I think the Grizzlies are better than they could have been if that trade never occurred

This whole "hating", "hating on" stuff doesn't fly at OS, dude.

We strive for intelligent basketball discussion here. The use of that terminology just doesn't work with what we're trying to do.

Oh, by the way, Dwight deserves every single ounce of hate he gets. Not "hate on" hate, actual hate. There is PLENTY of reason to hate the guy. "Hating on" or "haters" means there is no reason to. He deserves it more than LeBron. Way more.

Oh, yeah, one more thing. The Lakers will be winning the title next year, if health breaks their way. Which it will. Because they're the Lakers.

Seriously, that is the most **** deal I've seen since Pau Gasol was traded (to the Lakers). The NBA is a complete travesty and joke, right now. I just can't understand how you trade DWIGHT HOWARD for Aaron Afflalo and spare parts?!?!?!?!?! Only in the NBA and only to the ****ING LOS ANGELES LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will forever hate the Phoenix Suns (already did), Orlando Magic and their inept, moronic front-offices. I'm out........................

Iguodala could opt out after this year. Bynum is a big that commands a double team on a one year deal right now. If it doesn't work they still have the cap flexibility to make a run at somebody in next year free agent class. When combined with acquiring Jason Richardson, they now have improved their 3 point shooting from last year with J-Rich, Nick Young and Dorell Wright.

76ers will have at least 20 to 25 million in expiring contracts between Nick Young, Dorell Wright and Bynum if it doesn't work out. 76ers are a better team from last year because they added a post scorer and 3 point shooting to combine with their core of Holiday, Thad Young and Evan Turner.

I don't know what would have been a better way to improve their team this off-season then what they did. 76ers should be somewhere around a 3 to 6 seed in a quality Eastern conference.

Yea for one thing I thought Nash by himself made Lakers way dangerous and better than Spurs, now with Howard (if Howard is 100%) it's going to be hard for OKC to even beat them (and I do put Lakers number 1 in the west because I don't think people really understand how huge defensively Howard is. His worse season this year was still better than Bynum). If Lakers lose it will be because Kobe wants to be Kobe and ends up shooting 43% or worse again this year.

But back to Nash. People really do not understand how great that guy still is. He pretty much made no name guys on the suns actually good the last 3 years. Look what he did on PnR with Gortat. Now you going to have PnR with howard or Pau? Yea that is going to be killer and no one is going to stop it. Sorry if people actually think they are going to stop it, because they aren't.

That's why I hate the Suns owner and gm. They know nothing and just gave the Lakers a top 5 pg. Heck makes me wonder if Stern said we will get a first overall pick next year or the year after lol.

2010 Offseason: Everyone roots for the Lakers because of what the Heat did.
2011 Offseason: Everyone roots for the Heat because they were falling sorry for Lebron
