Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
Definitely debatable. But I still like our chances this season.
- LeBron is still currently the best player.
- I think Dwyane Wade will return back to form this season after having his surgery/rehab during the off-season as well as working out with Tim Grover, which we all know what happened the last time he trained with him.
- Bosh will still be a solid third option and if his 3pt improvement is legit (as seen during the playoffs) then he could really stretch the floor and bring Dwight out of the paint.
- It also definitely doesn't hurt the fact that we have the best 3pt shooter in the league further stretching the floor. The big question is Ray Allen's ankles. Also Rashard Lewis may also be another factor. IF he is 100% healthy coming into this season, he could definitely help as well.
- Another factor is that the Heat are now in Year 3, having kept the majority of their key contributors. I also think Mario Chalmers will be much improved; hopefully he has gained more confidence after his performance in the finals.
Overall, I can't wait for this season. It's going to be very interesting and entertaining ...Comment

Oh so I just found out out Dwight is going to the Lakers for a bag of peanuts. I'm utterly shocked that the Lakers pulled something like this off. I mean how could this happen.
Please contract the damn Magic right now.

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol don't negate anything. They could easily get in foul trouble negating any chance of them making a positive impact during a game. Not a solid argument since anything can happen.
No one here knows how well Dwight's recovery's going and if he'll be 100%. Back issues are no joke. You also have to think about team chemistry. We'll see how it goes with Kobe, Nash, and Howard. Kobe always wants the ball and Nash isn't going to be effective without it. Also, will Kobe and Dwight get along well enough to make the Lakers special? It's all up in the air until they come together and show us it can work.Comment

I thought the first deal we saw with Pau Gasol going to Orlando at least made a little bit of sense for the Magic. Now they settle for one solid starter, a role player, two bench warmers(who knows how the rookie pans out), and what's gonna be okay at best draft picks. I think the Magic need a new GM again.Comment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
The heat definately have a chance, but im guessing the starting lineups will be...
Heat
Chalmers PG
Wade SG
Lewis SF
LeBron PF
Bosh C
Lakers
Nash PG
Kobe SG
Metta SF
Pau PF
Howard C
The lakers starting 5 is more than capable of challenging the heats if they can work together.Comment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
PG: Chalmers
SG: Wade
SF: James
PF: Battier
C: Bosh
Although he may switch Haslem & Battier around during the regular season for match-up purposes & to not fatigue Battier during the course of the season.
I'm also hoping we can sign another big man maybe Milicic or even Oden? depending on his health. There were also rumours that Riley is looking into Blatche but I'm not sure how that will pan out ...Comment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
More like a better BIG5. An out of shape Artest was the only one Kobe could count on to bring his playoff game in the playoffs last year. Kobe said it himself Ron was the only one he could trust that would be ready game to game. Ron lost like 15 pounds this offseason and feels great.
It's simple to me if the Lakers stay healthy they get one Championship. Plus they have Jamison and Hill, and Blake and Ebanks and possibly Barbosa (that seems like a high possibility now) on the bench.
If Dwight leaves like the goofball that he is they are in trouble for year two cuz they don't have any top shelf assets to trade anymore and everyone of the old guys is a year older.
The only asset they would have left would be parts for Pau or Jordan Hill if he all the sudden drank a bottle of Kobe Drive. Bynum was their one big piece. Now it's been played. I was hoping Lakers would keep AB and trade Pau for Rondo, when he possibly could of been had last year. I'm a huge Laker fan and am excited about a spark in D, but I really was hoping the Lakers stuck with Bynum. Plus I'm not looking forward to Dwights FT's. However, Dwight makes the Lakers two unathletic PG's much less of a liability on D.
As far as Miami LBJ finally did what he was supposed to do a long time ago, he went to the basket finally. That Miami team was not a great champion, LBJ carried them, LBJ was great. I really think the two best teams will be in the West. Plus Mia has to go to BFE to start the year that's a kick to the groin after they just won the 'chip. Where are they going again China was it ?Last edited by MoultonHawk; 08-10-2012, 05:21 AM.Preaching SIM & playing ARCADE ? C'mon son !Comment

Don't think Lewis will be starting. Coach Spo will probably be using the same line-up as he did for the playoffs
PG: Chalmers
SG: Wade
SF: James
PF: Battier
C: Bosh

You don't fix something that ain't broke.
I think Ray Allen compliments the team better coming off the bench. That does not mean he will be on the bench during late game situations though.Last edited by vtcha; 08-10-2012, 05:22 AM.Comment

Orlando GM = 'tard. Sorry Magic fans, you got screwed on this. One of the worst trades in NBA history.
Can't wait for all the even more Laker bandwagons in nba2k online.. Teammup will be fun tho - Lakers roster will feel like an allstar game.Comment

Heat are definitely in trouble.
1. These aren't the Thunder
2. Who's gonna guard DH? Bosh? lol
3. PG and C are the Heat's weaknesses and those happen to be the spots Lakers powered up.
