Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
It's too early to judge this really, but I still think the Magic got a decent deal. Who knows, they could turn those first round picks into the next Ginobli/Parker/whoever, and Harkless and Vucevic could turn into very good starters. Hell, even Eyenga has some potential still. And Afflalo is a very good player, and Harrington is solid. I honestly think the Magic got a decent deal out of this. Not being sarcastic and I'm definitely no Lakers homer, but it seems fine to me. Too early to judge really.
Think of it this way, if this trade turns out like the Magic hope it will, they could have snagged 5 starting caliber players in the end, plus 3 picks and cap relief. Of course, that's assuming the young guys develop into starting caliber players, but it's possible, they're still young. I just don't see all the doom and gloom over this if your Magic fans. Just look at the Thunder and what they did in no time flat. It's not all bad fellas....Last edited by fluent2332; 08-10-2012, 02:48 PM.Comment

Moral of the story: If you have money(not talking about cap space)and play in a big market, then you have a chance at any player really, even if it's not right away.
I just hope my Nets can be in a similar position that LA is/has for years but so far we're on the right path.#RespectTheCultureComment

I just flat out disagree. This is going to go down as one of the worst trades..It's too early to judge this really, but I still think the Magic got a decent deal. There were much better offers for them out there.Comment

Dude, the trade is nowhere near decent. They traded away a top 5 player for mediocre talent and garbage picks. They may as well let him walk, bought out either Turkoglu or Richardson and salary dumped a bunch of players. Instead, they take back average players, two poor contracts and no (potential) quality draft picks. It's too early to judge this really, but I still think the Magic got a decent deal. Is Joe Johnson the right path ? He's the 5th highest paid player in the NBA.Moral of the story: If you have money(not talking about cap space)and play in a big market, then you have a chance at any player really, even if it's not right away.

I hate to say this, but I hope his back injury is worse than first realized. Hope it's a situation like David Robinson. **** Dwight and the Magic....
I highly doubt that will be the case, though. Nash and his chronic back problems maybe an issue for the Lakers.

I really have to explain that to you ?
Let's talk about something more fresh and fun the Packers poor perfomance yesterday, what say you ?
*P.S. A Rog is the best QB in the league, and the Pack should have won the SB last year, the only thing I can figure out is that the Pack were emotionally spent still from the untimely death in the Packer family, bizzare game.Last edited by MoultonHawk; 08-10-2012, 03:15 PM.Preaching SIM & playing ARCADE ? Pushing it there it's just preseason
Joe Johnson is a solid player, his contract is too high for his caliber but he makes the Nets better and it's hard to come across a good SG these days, there aren't too many to choose from.Native Georgian. Adopted Texan.Comment

Re: NBA Movement Central 2012 (All Transactions 1st Page)
Time will tell if this goes down as one of the worst trades. Vucevic and Harkless could each turn into 20 and 10 big men. Then what? Like I said, too early to be all doom and gloom over this.
And I disagree there were better offers out there. The Nets package didn't interest me and the Magic obviously weren't comfortable giving Brook Lopez a max deal. The Rockets package was just cap relief and not much else. The deal the Magic got was the best of the 3 if you ask me.Comment
