What sucks is that when a couple of Laker fans say anything, than the whole fan base gets bashed on. I havn't read any read anyone's post saying Kobe is BETTER than Jordan, even though, knowing some Laker fans, there probably have been some statements. You just got to understand that with a team like the Lakers who have had so much success, the fans are gonna get spoiled. You just gotta learn to ignore them, and listen to other fans that make sense in what they say,

Anyways back on topic. I still don't understand why people feel bad for Tmac because his team sucks and he's losing. I mean when other great players are stuck with horrible teams, and they start losing (Pierce's Celtics, Carter's Raptors, Kobe's Shaq-less Lakers, Iverson's Sixers, etc.) we just start bashing them. If you noticed, when Celtics lose cuz they only have Pierce, than Celtic fans are gonna come out and talk about how Pierce has no supporting cast. When Raptors lose, we are gonna have posts complaining about how Carter's supporting cast averaged 7 points. When Sixers lose, we are gonna have posts talking about Eric Snow missing lay-ups and DC not being able to run. When a Shaq-less Lakers team loses, laker fans are gonna say Kobe has no help. We all just have to stop making stupid topics like these, where we bash a certain individual player for losing when we all know he can't do it alone.

Yo im starting to get what Thompson is saying and last nighst agme is a perecte example of it. Dont jump on me quickly because T-mac had a usual great agme but that 4th quarter he was passive and didnt really look to take over. He had 2 points taht quarter and during teh 4th quarter Mcgradys gotta demand the rock and they gotta live and dye by him. Pierce is apercect example by scoring 15 points in the 4th quarter and taking over. He struggled the rest of the game but turned his game up a notch like Pierce. How many times have we seen Iversom, Kobe, Pierce, and even Vince Carter last night do these types of things in the 4th quarter. I cant say the same about T-mac.

Dynasty4Kobe, I consider you a real Laker fan, and a level headed one just like Shakobe, etc... Some huggers give the real fans a bad name only to an extent. The huggers get no respect, but you guys get all the respect in the world for supporting your team. You aren't riding the jock strap for a particular player. Same thing with AI, PP, J.Kidd fans, they get all the respect in the world for what they believe. You aren't the guys bashing Tmac constantly for the obvious reasons. You never saw those same guys critisizing Kobe for the Lakers losing bad either, so you see the biasness in it.

                        Schindeler:

This is all phony. You know why? Because these so called 'experts' are running with different opinions - only to come to the same conclusion that McGrady isn't doing enough, is trying to do too much, isn't a superstar, or whines. How can one guy say he's selfish - only for the next guy to say he has to be more selfish? And then the comments about how McGrady isn't a superstar?...That's how you realize that it's biasness going on around here.

At one point of time, I hear John Thompson stating that passing out of doubleteams is the right thing to do. Then, when Tracy does it and John Thompson realizes that passing is only beneficial if you get good things out of it, he comes on and states that Tracy has to be more selfish.

McGrady can't do everything...and that's what everyone is expecting him to do. As a superstar, you are expected to do the unnatural to lead your team, but I don't know one superstar that can look into the future and decide whether or not his teammates will knock down the shot he passes to them, will get back and rotate on the pick and roll, and will snag down a board.

A lot of the stuff people are spouting is unjustified. The only thing I think is justified is that McGrady might be taking the wrong approach at getting his opinion across...whether it's playing lacksadasical or shorthanding his teammates.

They are just too young of a team to know how to win. They can win...they just don't know how to. A lot of the players just don't know how to win. The team as a whole haven't caught on to the consistency of what you should do in order to get a win. They'll defend the pick and roll right one time up the floor...and then do it wrong the next.

They'll send all five men to get a board one time up - and then forget the next time up the floor...something a veteran based team just doesn't let slip by their brain.

But you want to know something? I'm kind of liking the blasting that McGrady is getting - as I feel it will benefit him in the future, especially when his time comes and he's on a team that can actually exploit his true ability to lead. That's why I always loved Reggie. The putdowns and disbelief everyone has always gave him his entire life benefited the chip on his shoulder that let him go wild when he was ticked off.

BTW It's still hard for me to feel bad for any guy making millions to enjoy when the day is over.
