In a 6' and under league these guys would be The Dream Team (minus T Mac of course, yes I know Jennings is listed at 6'1, but I dont buy it.)

Current: Jeff Teague, Zaza Pachulia - both are the hardest workers on the hawks roster.
Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo- Both great players to watch and I have a lot of respect for the way they carry themselves off of the court
Josh Smith - became a fan as soon as he lifted off in that Wilkins jersey at the dunk contest.

            All Time
Pistol - a ref in my rec league as a kid always called me pistol, at first I had no idea who he was but when I researched him he became my favorite player and really sparked my love for the game.
Wilkins - yeah another hawk, the man was amazing from what I've seen, whenever I hear someone say welcome to the highlight factory I think of him.
Jordan - I shouldnt have to clarify why.
Tracy McGrady - he was my first favorite player that actually was playing at the time. I was really happy to see him in a hawks uni last year but I wish it had happened in his prime.
Baron Davis - he isn't exactly an all time player to remember and I hope to see him comeback next season but he was the first current player I started to follow when I got my first copy of live in 1999, he is basically the first player I followed from his rookie season to the present.

              Re: Your 5 Favorite Players?

Never had the chance to watch 90's basketball or earlier so I can't really name any of the older generations as my favorite players. So my list is pretty much current or the past decade.

              1.) Kyrie Irving
              2.) Deron Williams
              3.) Paul Pierce
              4.) Brandon Roy
              5.) Yao Ming

                Re: Your 5 Favorite Players?

I notice everyone's going with the Big names here. Thought there'd be more under-appreciated in the thread.

                Well here is mine anyway.

                1. Grant Hill
First Player I ever seen, the player that made me the insane NBA fan I am today. Picking up that NBA Jam game with Him and Kidd as rookies was the best thing that ever happened to me. Grant is one of the most underrated ever. Only because his stupid stupid ankle. Dude is a HOF in my books, and would be for everyone else if his ankle didn't give out. at 40 he's the best perimeter defender in the city of LA.
                2. JaVale McGee
I'm smashed and insulted for this pick every day. "Stupidest player in the NBA", "No offense", "Doesn't care". I've heard it all. Truth is this guy is an extremely hard worker that likes to have fun with the sport we all love more than most NBA players. THE most athletic center in the NBA. I've never seen a 7 footer jump like Andre Iguodala. He'll only improve in Denver.
                3. Allen Iverson
I honestly believe he deserves a shot on an NBA roster. In a league that has guys like Luke Walton playing key minutes, I can name plenty of teams he could actually contribute on, off the bench. In his prime, he contends for best combo guard EVER, with being, in my opinion, the best scoring point guard ever hands down. That 2001 team wasn't exactly stacked.
                4. Tracy McGrady
With the recent news of T-Mac all but retiring from the NBA, I was devastated. This guy could have led my Orlando Magic some serious places if he had some help. when you're talking about a guy who nearly took Tim Duncan away from the spurs, you know he has to mean business. Nowadays, he's a great scorer off the bench.. or so I think. In his prime, like Iverson. You don't get much better than his 2003 season.
                5. Vlade Divac
You don't get Kobe Bryant without Divac. Not a lot know about this guy, I consider him one of, if not the best passing big man in the history of the NBA. You don't get the 2001 Kings without Vlade. He had a great offensive post game, good mid range jumpshot, good defense, there's isn't a lot of area's lacking for a solid starting big man. I can't explain what it is that I like about Vlade in extreme detail, you just have to had watch the man do work from that block.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Chris Bosh, Hasheem Thabeet, Trevor Booker, Juwan Howard, Darrell Armstrong, Nick Anderson.

Those Charlotte Hornets back then were the ****. I loved that team. All my favorite teams aren't necessarily local (Lakers fan), but I pull for the NC teams since it's where I live if they aren't playing those squads. Anyway, my list:

                  Active:
                  Kobe Bryant
                  Kevin Durant
                  Kevin Love
                  Steph Curry
                  Kyrie Irving

                  Historical:
                  Magic Johnson
                  Larry Bird
                  Larry Johnson
                  Shawn Kemp
                  Shaquille O'Neal

                  Overall:
                  Magic
                  Kobe
                  Kemp
                  LJ
                  Shaq

I never got to watch him play, but just some of the footage I've seen of Wilt Chamberlain and his athletic abilty across the board fascinate me and wish we had that dominance in the league at the 5 nowadays.

Kobe's my favorite, the four after aren't really in any order. I'm probably forgetting a few guys here and there as well.

Active: Luc Richard Mbah A Moute, Ricky Rubio, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Tim Duncan (not actually sure about Duncan, but he's definitely up there and I can't think of others right now)

Retired: Tracy McGrady, TJ Ford, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, John Stockton

                        Overall:
                        1. Steve Nash (mainly because everyone says I play like him, same guy taught us both how to shoot, and he's just so much fun to watch)
                        2. Michael Jordan (I feel like he was everyone's favorite growing up in the 90's basically)
                        3. Ray Allen (the reason I became a Bucks fan)
                        4. Tracy McGrady
                        5. TJ Ford/Ricky Rubio (Ford became my favorite Buck the moment he got drafted. I fell in love with him in the NCAA Tourny even though I was rooting for Syracuse. Rubio is just so much fun to watch).

lol i love it, i think you're right that game 6 last year against the lakers was stupid awesome. people forget the wizards are top-to-bottom inept franchise and nobody plays good for them.

                            1. Matt Bonner - I mean, no seriously the guy is a big dorky ginger that can hit threes like nobody's business. I remember when he first showed up on the Spurs he was instantly my favorite. The Pale Rider! Red Rocket! The Ginger Assassin!
                            2. Tony Parker - I used to not like him so much but he really came into his game and ditched the dumb tv celeb. Slippery, quick, good shot, great lane presence for a little fella, superb floater, insane creator. I remember when he first showed up on the spurs it was like a revelation to have a point that could run after the years of the Little General.
                            3. Rasheed Wallace - He's signed now right? Best tats in the game, the weird spot on his head, his three point shot, his passion and defense. Dude is just the best.
                            4. Chris Paul - I love watching him play even when he's beating my team senseless. That series a few years ago against the Spurs when he was with NO and he was lobbing what looked like floaters that were actually alley oops to Tyson Chandler? That **** cray.
                            5. Chauncey Billups - Named my dog after him. Spurs have two favorite teams, the Spurs and whoever is playing the Lakers. That 4-1 series back in aught four was classick!
                            6. Timmy
                            7. Tyson Chandler
                            8. Stephen Jackson

                            ALL TIME
                            1. Allen Iverson - Loved his intensity and never say die spirit and his relentless passion for the game. Hated how he just couldn't humble up and play six man for a half dozen years more.
                            2. Scott Skiles - Ran the game like a professional. 30 assists in a single game what the hell is that.
                            3. David Robinson - All the way around class act and was athletic as hell back in the day.
                            4. Hakeem Olajuwon - Same as Dave, never forget that Western Conference Finals when he just broke Robinson down. It was a dark day for Spurs but you had to respect the man.
                            5. Charles Oakley - "If it ain't broke don't break it."

                              1) Kemba Walker

                              2) Kobe Bryant

                              3) Draymond Green

                              4) Michael Jordan

                              5) Isaiah Thomas (From the kings so you don't get confused)

                              Reasoning:

The one thing that I've seen from each of these guys that makes me like them is that they all have heart. They are all competitors and don't back down. Jordan is obviously at the top of the pile, with Kobe behind him, but Draymond, Kemba, and Isaiah all play with a chip on ther shoulder that I respect. I am saddened by Draymonds situation because he doesn't seem to get much attention or playing time.
