He is always going to contend for the MVP, but a couple games and suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread? Let's wait and see if he can get his team through a playoff series...

Re: GARNETT.... FOR THE WIN...
The MVP award is given to a player for his work done during the regular season, and has nothing to do with postseason play. So, even if the TWolves get knocked out of the first round again, it wouldn't matter to the votes that go to the MVP award.
I think that the award is a bit biased towards the team with the best record tho. They believe that the team with the best record usually has the best player. That is why Tim Duncan has won for two years, AI's east leading 76ers won the award, and Shaq won the award the year before.
But back to the topic at hand. KG is awesome. I said this in another thread, but I'll say it here. He is an amazing athlete. I consider him one of the top 3 big men in the L. He does it all. He leads his team, he scores their points, he grabs all the boards, he defends, scores, shoots the three's, wins the games. He has such an intensity about him, it's just fun to watch.
He is 4th in the L in scoring (23.4 ppg), 1st in the L in rebounding (14.3 rpg), 28th in the L in assists (4.7 apg), 18th in fg % (48.5%), and 7th in the L in swats (2.6 bpg).
He is an awesome player.Comment

i totally agree... plus he doesnt whine if he doesnt get his shots in a game as long as they win ummm SHAQ.... KG could score 2 points in the game and do nothing but rebound and play defense and as long as the T Wolves win he would have a big ole grin on his face. This is what upsets me about SHAQ.. he easily pushed a guy out of the way.. dunks the ball and then looks to the owner of the lakers and says PAY ME... what a B*tch..... Id like to see SHAQ hit 2 3 pointers with 25 seconds left to send a game into OT and then the next night hit a 18 footer for the win. Duncan would not even hit those threes.... im sorry but KG is the most underrated because of where he plays... this year will proove that with help he is far above anyone in the league.... 12-8 is not slow when you only have 3 returning players and a ton of injuries... remember.. the other 2 returning players havent played a second this year... KG is the only player that has been in the system and they are 4 over 500.... i think that speaks for KGComment

please realize who the ****** is....12-8 isn't a good record, sorry to tell you that.....especially with Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell on your team. Garnett is a good player, but HE SHOULD NEVER BE MVP.
If it ain't Duncan, then it's Shaq...period.Comment

They have friggin mark madsen playing center for long stretches! Hudson and Wally S. havent even played! Kandi is out, Oh yeah, Madsen is sitting now too. Think.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

who cares....Garnett does a lot, but if he weren't doing it, someone on his team would....what he doesn't do is WIN...and while he got lucky twice, don't count on it happening on a regular basis.....
I look at it this way...Timberwolves - Garnett + Duncan = Championship
...Timberwolves - Garnett + Shaq = Championship
last year and this year(old players) and (new players)
