      Please.

And all I am saying is everyone in here is saying the Raptors are going to the playoffs or AT LEAST to the Conference Finals. Don't you all think this is premature talk? It's only been a couple games after the trade. not like a half season. Calm down.

Ok maybe I'm playing "damage control" here

That's the story with all teams in the NBA. If your star goes down, then I'm sure most teams wouldn't make the playoffs. Well, except for the Kings. I mean, if TD went down, the Spurs would be a definitely lottery team. KG for the Wolves, AI for the 76ers, etc. Lots of teams depend on their star for more than just points.[/b]

You're right, but there are certain players that are more likely to go down than others. Grant Hill and Marcus Camby have been prime examples of this. Carter is certainly more likely to seriously reinjure himself than there is a chance of TD, AI, etc to be taken out of action for a long period of time.

As for the low-post presence, barely any teams in the east have one, so they shouldn't have to worry about that part of the game.

Yup, but they have it worse than most of even the Eatern teams, and I believe they still have a good chunk of games against Western teams with big-men galore.

                  Re: RAPTORS PLAY OFF BOUND!!!????

With their new lineup, and the amount of crap teams in the east, I don't see how its possible that the Raptors won't make the playoffs. Even if Carter does go down for a few games, Jalen Rose is more than capable of stepping up and being that number 1 scorer. He did it for the Bulls with no support and won some games, so why not with the Raptors.

I still stand by my claim that Carter will play atleast 75 games this year, if not the whole season. He doesn't have as much pressure and he isn't trying to carry the team the same way he was when he got injured 2 years ago. The chances of him seriously injuring himself again this season are pretty slim I think.
