Could you develop? What is he so bad at? Is he responsible for LA's turnovers?

I find it pretty easy to just say, He's terrible. He might be but you should come up with something to explain your opinion.

Must say I was pleased to see Igoudala be nothing different than he was when he was a 6er.

The Philadunkia blog hosted by ESPN via truehoop had posted some interviews of Iggy w/ Denver media discussing his time w/ Philly.

Iggy pretty much bashed us, and then complained how he had been under utilized as an offensive weapon because Collins had him as more of a facilitator.

Iggy talked in his interview like all the while in lg he had been a capable 20+/night scorer and how Philly's offensive style held him back and he was going to unleash his abilities in Denver.

What a crock of ****... last night's Iggy was no different than any other. Lame ***....

          The Lakers will be fine.

Is it ugly right now? Hell yes.

Offense is not the Lakers problem. They can't stop anybody right now. The Mavs and the Blazers got any shot they wanted these first two games.

If the Lakers look like this after 20 or so games, then Laker fans might want to start panicing.

            Re: 10/30 - 11/7 Games Discussion Thread.

I understand the preseason is pretty much meaningless...

...but with that said, the Lakers are (in essence) on a 10 game losing streak. In they're history they've never went 0-fer the preseason. And when you watch them play, it appears something is just very wrong about them.

Look, Steve Nash didn't suddenly turn 85 this offseason. He's not the fastest dude on 2 legs, I'll grant you that. But this team is built to start with the ball in his hands and THEN disperse it.

In my opinion, the best looking player on this team is Pau Gasol... Yeah, Kobe is Kobe - I get that. But this offense is made for Pau. Now, do you truly believe that the Lakers should have Pau as their high-post facilitator as their best option? Sorry, can't happen... With Pau running this offense, Nash becomes useless... So now you've got a 38 year old PG on the hook for a good deal of money, and 3 years of this...

Someone tell me how Mike Brown won't have his head rolled if this thing doesn't turn around quickly?

They won't be able to trade out of this mess...they'll be able to "fire" they're way out of it. You watch...

Agree with everything you said. Pau's been the most impressive and Nash skills is of no use in that offense. I also expect to see Kobe's % go up and I like what he's done so far.

The bench doesn't make sense though. It should bring youth and speed on the court but it really doesn't.

I hope the Clippers run the Lakers out of the building. I just want to see the reaction and Kobe start popping some friendly fire at his teammates and coaches.

I got my popcorn on deck.

No one said Offense would be the problem, The defense is and in my opinion will continue to be the problem....

I find this funny because I should ask why he isn't.

To also answer 23's comment, it is part of what's being talked about here because the problem with Mike Brown is he doesn't put his team's in a position to win. You can't say: "It's only two games, everyone wants to blame Brown" and then shoot down my comment that I've been blaming Brown since he was hired. That is talking exactly about the issue that's been brought up here.

Brown is terrible because he has little understanding of his own team's strengths. He's another one of those "it's my way or the highway" coaches.

In Cleveland he didn't trust anyone but LeBron and rode that to the Finals. But you can't win a championship with that mindset. Once the Spurs clamped down on LeBron, the rest of the roster was at a loss. Sure, the team wasn't especially talented after James, but when you expect less of them, you make it difficult to have them rise to an occasion.

In LA he made little adjustments once he took over and did nothing to hinder Kobe's shooting volume. Look, I'm all about letting the stars carry a team, but you've gotta put the brakes somewhere. Brown was always willing to comment on someone else's performance, but said little of Kobe not trusting his teammates to carry a bit of the load. It was Cleveland all over again.

Now this year he is adamant in running this Princeton offense despite having a point guard that isn't suited for that system.

My opinion is good coaches develop schemes that enhance everyone's strength. They don't have one system. They have systems. Mike Brown is trying to push one system and ignoring how it devalues his roster. Granted not all of it, but enough of it.

Yes it takes time to adjust to a new offense, but lest we forget that Dallas has new players as does Portland. They didn't seem to have much trouble figuring things out. The Lakers look lost.

Turnovers are more a result of miscommunication then lack of skill. Again, they lack familiarity, but it's also the coach's job to put his players in position to limit those turnovers. Mike Brown didn't do that last year.

Anyone that seriously expects he will do it this year is delusional.

I wasn't saying that... I said that's not the question because I wasn't pandering whether or not Brown is a good coach, because I dont think any of us thinks so

..that said, I pointed out some specific issues that led to loses and spefically bricking tons of free throws and getting burned on defense leads to loses most of the time.

Brown is just the easiest target here though

It's a little early to be blaming Brown. Lets wait until the 8th game.

Anyone OKC fans excited about tonight?

Should be a good one. And will be nice to see how the Thunder play after losing Harden. Remember when Boston was shocked when Perkins left. This trade is on the same level.
