I am glad he is gone. He just looks like he has no clue at all.

If its so easy for these guys then why haven't they done it and why is brown taking the blame

Because the offenses that Mike Brown has implemented have not worked for the personnel. Last year with the motion offense and this year with the princeton offense.

Scoring went down in his first year as did FG%. Same in this short season. At the same time, the defense hasnt improved much, if at all since he's been here.

With the four guys the Lakers have now, it should be really simple as I mentioned. The players should have freedom on offense as they are plenty capable of creating opportunities themselves.

Seemed like he went the other way by going with a system and making the players adjust to it.

            Yeah. I feel you Dre.

Its just that when I see us going from one of the better scoring teams, year after year, to being completely average with the same core guys, I cant just place blame on the players.

This year we add Nash and Dwight and dont improve at all offensively from last year? Thats crazy to me.

              Theyre injured man

              Nash is older also

              Kobe was shooting better

              The bench still a weakness

True. We'll just have to see what happens from here. I still think the offense under Brown has looked like garbage. Only time will tell if it was him or the personnel.

Wouldn't hold my breath on it being on the latter. And I don't it anyone will ever place blame on the personnel, especially on this team.

yes finaly a year to late should have never been hired to beging with now one of the 3 things that worrer me about the team should be better. The other too things that worrer me is there deffences and there crappy crappy bench. Now phil came back its going to be great to see kobe and artest not playing to many minutes and seeing jamison playing more minutes like he should and artest playing shooting gurade lol should not be happening artest can now go back to small foward like he should. Lakers are already playing more deffences tonight then they did the first 5 games combind

Yeah even if somebody come in as they keep sucking, even if its Phil, they will get the blame.. Not Kobe and company..

Lets face it though, in a Lakers fan's eyes Kobe is NEVER the problem..

The guy can't even miss an open shot without "oh well that wrist has been bad" or well "his finger is still messed up" .. It's been that way pretty much entire career, at least the post Shaq era.

Phil needs to stay retired or coach another team. That is all

This is false. Myself, as well as many other Laker fans on this site, have criticized Kobe and his play when it has been warranted. Dont know where your getting that from.

I don't think its completely false, I've seen the injury excuse so many times its not even funny

Seriously? You don't know where I'm getting it from? If you're a Lakers fan I assume you watch all the games. I hardly even watch a Lakers game without even the commentators mentioning something bothering Kobe..

I'm surprised you guys aren't saying things like "Kobe would have averaged 40PPG if he wasn't hurt every single game".. Kobe's little "nagging injuries" are no different than problems every other player in the league has after playing a grueling 82 games per year.
