Remember when it was entertaining to talk about the Knicks franchise?
I do feel bad for Lakers fans. I say that honestly because I really don't dislike any teams in the league. Right now Lakers fans are dealing with some real crap.
Inner bickering. Bad coaching. Poor bench depth. Misdirected accountability.
This better be D'Antoni's final coaching job. I will feel no pity for any team that decides to hire this guy two years from now when he's fired by Buss.

Well Kobe blaming Dwights FTs tonight
Dwight blaming the defense
Kobe is playing like Bad Russ right now.. the dude keeps chucking 27, 28, 29, 30 shots and its no justification for that ever
That means he doesn't believe in his teammates at all and doesn't care... dude is out there trying to make sure Kobe looks good win or loseComment

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
I just want some people to see what I'm talking about with Kobe Bryant right now. And I think people really need to look into the things that are going on with him. I count at least 2-3 fastbreaks where he has 3 on 2's and he keeps the ball for the toughest looks. It just doesn't make any sense at this point of the season. I think he needs to trust his teammates more. Especially in Dan-Toni offense. Which is about spreading the floor and getting easy shots/looks. They are called fastbreaks because you get easy looks.
0:34 Didn't even attempt to move the ball around (granted he got the blocking call on Lin)
3:50 Jamison wide open in the corner
He's not to blame but. I just don't know what he's trying to prove out there. It's only a matter of time until he hurt himself playing like that.

But the Dwight situation. I understand about giving him a chance to knock down the freethrows. Because at the end of the day Dwight Howard is an important part of your team. Laker fans be ready to see a whole lot of Hack-a-Dwight.
This team needs Steve Nash very badly.
Anyone which the Heat finally get burn for not playing 48 minutes of basketball?
Also Jordan Crawford = Jamal Crawford maybe?

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
You take out Kobe's 3's and he was otherwise deadly... scoring 54+% FG.
Lakers are still stuck in the same way for the last several years - no outside shooting. And given the league's growing importance on the 3 this is going to be a bigger handicap on the lakers. They clog the middle but have no reliable shooting around them... and Kobe's never been a good outside shooter.
What good does it do to take that many shots, when your 2nd best player is only getting in 9 shots, and you are completely invisible on the defensive side of the court?
SMH, I mean CMH you feel sorry for them? You sir are alone

I feel like Kobe has this mode, where if he knows they are going to lose, he goes into score at all costs mode just so he can go into interviews and bitch about other players performances.
How many times have we seen him score 30-40 and the Lakers lose by double digits? This is nothing new. Kobe is going to get his, anyway he can, even if it's detrimental to the team.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

He's been this way for YEARS and it's likely not going to change. Same thing with the Gasol thing as well. People saying he needs to speak up or be a man? Stop it, this is who he is and has been. You can't just MAKE somebody become a man or grow a pair if they haven't by now.
What's more likely to come first: The World ending in 17 days or anybody on the Lakers stepping to Kobe Bean Bryant about an issue they have with him?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
We all know he's been doing it for years. But I would think at his age. He would be a little more about team ball. After winning championships by sharing the ball. He's not going to win at that kind of pace. I don't mind some of the half court shots he took. What bothers me are the fastbreaks where he blackholes the ball. 3 on 2's are suppose to result in a lay up. Or a check my feet 3 pointer in the corner.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
Anywho, Pau Gasol was definitely a beast for three years. 2007-2010, the years LA made finals appearances. He was a beast in the paint and on the boards. Don't forget about those years Pack. He played like that because he was the center and only big man on the floor. When Andrew came back healthy in 2010-2011 season is when he started playing shy. It's been like that ever since now with Dwight too. He hasn't quite figured out how to best utilize a twin tower.
On the flipside, Kobe and everyone else needs to help him figure it out instead of taking shots at him.Comment

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
Pointing to rings is no excuse to play basketball like this
Tim Duncan doesn't do it and he has rings
Robert Horry had rings, so did Fisher and Shaq and none of them did it
Jacking up 30 shots a game is not the reason that he or any other player won ringsComment

Re: 12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread
Please don't compare Robert Horry or Fisher to Kobe Bryant either.
It's not a matter of excuses. It's a matter of him being stubborn and saying 'look, I've been in the league for a long time, I've got hardware, aint nobody gonna tell me how to play this game'. Simple.Comment
