He is completely coasting through the regular season lol It's crazy that's he's averaging these number without even really putting forth effort
The only thing keeping Durant from completely dominating is himself. This is a guy who could easily average 33-35 easily on amazing efficiency along with 8 boards and like 3 assist but he's just overly passive that sometimes he ends up not making an impact on the court from time to time like the first quarter of this game and in the Finals.Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
For Durant I don't think it'd kill the efficiency of the team bc Durant gets most to all of his shots come in the flow and he tends to over pass(especially early in games) and passing up on open looks. If he and Westbrook switched shot attempts he'd be a shade up 32 which if you could get Westbrook to give up shots to Durant I count that as a winComment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
If the Knicks finish atop the East, and that's a big if, it has to be Melo. And coming from someone who was the self-proclaimed 'biggest Melo ***** on the planet', that's saying a lot.Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
I could argue that Kidd (or any of their point guards) is more important to the success of the Knicks this year than Melo has been. They've been all about ball movement this year, something that Melo's never really been known for.Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
I think right now Melo is the leading candidate. After last nights game. It's still LeBron James award to lose. But if the Knicks can keep it up. I see Melo walking away with it. But like someone said it's all about where his team finishes.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

So if their records end up being equal you still see Melo winning?Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
But please, make a case for Felton or Prigioni. It would literally make my night.
If you want to make a case for Kidd, go for it. I'll shoot that down too.Comment

If they finish with the best record in the league I could see Melo getting it.. But I think that's about the only way he could. LeBron and Durant just do too much for their teams, and Kobe is having a nice year as well despite how bad the Lakers are playing.Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
Who's your MVP right now guys?
To me it's LeBron, early in the season I had Melo, but he's slowed down and LeBron is starting to pick up steam, December was arguably the best month in his career with 27.5 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 7.5 APG on 56% shooting.
So as of now, my MVP is LeBron."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: 2012/13 MVP
LeBron is having a beast year, but I wouldn't be surprised if Melo walks away with it if the Knicks can finish the year like they started it.Comment

This is what I thought originally. If the Knicks land the best record in the league.. But I highly doubt they finish ahead of both the Heat and Thunder.. I don't think Melo can win it if he's behind either of those guys in the win column because his numbers alone definitely aren't better than theirs.Comment
