    Re: 1/7 - 1/13 Games Discussion Thread.

The few changes I see. Is that Reggie Evans is getting more minutes because of his rebounding and defense. I also think Marshon Brooks and C.J. Watson are getting more solid minutes (especially C.J. with Deron Williams on the floor). And like someone said. I think P.J. is letting Deron Williams run the show on the offense side of the ball more.

It's either that or the Russia guy came down and said if you guys don't start hitting shots. You guys got to go lol

On a side note... I was at the barber. And someone was talking about the TMZ video with KG and Melo. I never saw that video until this weekend. Has anyone here seen that?! lol

So I guess none of us can like Chris Paul, Durant, Blake Griffin, James Harden, Melo then?

There's not a single consistent Thunder's fan and maybe 1 Clippers fan if we count ex who posts here on a regular basis.

We gush over Durant and Chris Paul and we're going to act like that ain't none of have ever did it all of a sudden?

What kind of hypocrite mess is this ?
      Ex is a Lakers fan.

I can vouch for nathan though, I hardly post just lurk through threads and he has always spoke upon his bulls with or without rose.

You are absolutely right btw, nothing wrong with liking other teams or players.

Who didn't appreciate the Celtics defense during they're championship run?

Who here doesn't enjoy the way the spurs move the ball and plays as a team?

Doesn't make u a bandwagon, ur more of NBA/Basketball fan who loves the game as a whole.

According to the NBA Marketing Department: Everyone.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Casuals rule the world from real sports to video games to just about everything.

NBA Marketing Department hasn't been anything close to great in years if ever this decade.

Always been insert star player vs insert star player, or building non existent rivalries.

Flash over fundamentals, you'll never hear a casual fan get excited over screens, back door cuts, footwork, low post games & simple passes.

Unfortunate but it is what it is.

              Re: 1/7 - 1/13 Games Discussion Thread.

Nets are always gonna inquire about a new coach. I expect them to in the offseason, and I hate it honestly.

I like PJ and I think the players have all bought into him. Avery always pissed me off with his rotations and refusal to play the young guys.

In every Association episode, he would call out and insult Marshon Brooks. He also never thought Mirza would make it in the NBA (I'm not saying he will, but he shows signs). Why kill their confidence instead of developing them?

PJ lets the players come into their own while also giving them an earful. In post-game interviews, PJ has never been afraid to call out his players if they didn't play well, but still trusts them enough to get better in consistent playing time. "Brook played excellent in the second half.. there's another word for his first half" Avery would have been like "We battled, Brook battled, he just didn't get calls"

It's nice actually having a decent coach and pulling out wins where we aren't outcoached. Hopefully, PJ can stick around past this season and get some wins in this tough stretch coming up.

                1. Yes they do. If it involves an alleyoop, but they still do.

                2. Dribbing is much of this so...yeah, they do, unless you're just applying this to Low Post?

                3. Chris Paul, Rondo, Rubio, Nash much? Or are you just referring to ball movement in general like the Spurs and the early Knicks team when they were draining 3's?

                    1. Now if this same back door cut ends in just a lay up or another pass for an easier attempt to avoid a defender, it goes without the same enjoyment of a highight alley oop.

                    2. Just the low post.

                    3. More so ball movement ala the two teams u mentioned.

Excluding the usual suspects with exceptional court vision, you'll see to many guys going for the highlight no look pass, not knowing when to chest pass or make the simple bounce pass.

Too many times u can count easy points missed, especially on the break. Where a player goes for a flashy pass or doesn't make the correct pass for the situation, which either sails out of bounds or gives the defender a better chance at taking a teammate out of a great shot opportunity.

                          Ouch.

Well it has been one of those years, although it was just as bad last year except they were winning some games.

I still see the same problems, lack of hustle, accountability, help defense, no ability to guard pgs at all and this goes all the way back to our last championship run. Oh yeah, mr.bean forcing shots at the wrong times.

Nothings changed really except their losing more & people are enjoying it.
