IMO, should've happened some time ago. Didn't really see he doing much with that squad since they're run-in with the Hawks in the playoffs some few years back. Though they did lose some key pieces to that roster, still thought he maxed out.Comment

The way this Mavs team has played recently is actually reminding me a lot of how they played last year. Particularly this most recent game against the Jazz. Last year's team routinely took 1st quarter leads and turned them into halftime ties or deficits and 3rd quarter leads and turned them into losses. Which is precisely what the Mavs did tonight. Clearly they're playing at a much higher level than they were in the six game losing streak but right now they're playing like the Mavs of last year, and the Mavs of last year aren't good enough to get into the playoffs.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Watching that Celtics Knicks. Celtics playing some amazing defense here. Bass is great at defending in the post, Bradley is like a pitbull on the perimter, green too, they rotate pretty well. Is it not always like that? I keep reading Celtics have defensive issues this year, but it doesn't show this game (so far at least, half of the 3rd quarter).
Some BS calls against the Celtics in this game I find.

Man such a BIG win for the celtics on the road. My favourite game of the season. It felt like basketball from 5 or 6 years ago.
Very intersting to see two great half court offense teams without their point guard. Been a while since I've seen a game with so few high p'n'r, p'n'r, p'n'p in it. Helps you to realise how much the a true point guard facilitates the offense. Defense really took over without them, they could barely walk the ball up the court. No fastbreak, very few floppy plays. It was man on man type of basketball.
Celtics also played vintage basketball type of defense. It was body versus body. When people are bleeding you know it was a good game.
That KG Carmelo rivalry in the 4th. That's why you gotta have KG in a playoff serie. He gets under people's skin. I think he takes the game to a higher place. It's not just basketball player vs basketball player, it's man versus man with him. It was beautifull.
Only for theses two, we need a 7 games serie between Boston and New york.
