    Ron Artest vs Rick Carlisle

    In case anyone missed what happened tonight:

    Artest and Carlisle had a little fall-out during and after the game. Carlisle basically ranted about the immaturity of this Pacer team, and called out artest as being immature and selfish.

    Artest's response?
    "I feel like I can play. If they don't want me to play here, I can go play somewhere else."

    I've never been an Artest fan, and this certainly isn't bettering my opinion of him.

      Anyone whos making NBA money and tries to get a job at Circuit City so he can get discounts cannot be *that* bad
      As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

                  nba coach has to be the worst job ever imaginable(sp?). All you do is argue with the players who have the biggest most immature ego's in all of sports and at the same time are expected to coach a good game and keep the team winning. Couldn't pay me enough to coach.

                              I am not sure what to think of this. I like Artest, but he was said to be kind not himself before the game and then during the game. Then he went off on Carlile.

                              There are some that will say that Carlile is being an *** and should not of pulled him, but I think it was the right thing to do. I think Artest needs someone to tell him that bull---- will not be tolerated on this team. It is so hard being an NBA coach, your expected to win, but at the same time put up with players who dont respect you because they get paid at least double what you do.

                              So personally I think it is good that Carlile is taking a no bull---- approach.

                                                      Sigh, I knew this would get blown outta proportion. I live in Indianapolis so I have access to the local news and this is nowhere near what it sounds like. Artest said he wasnt upset. He was very calm. He was upset about the loss at Milwaukee so he may have been a bit out of sorts and tried to take it on himself to win the game. Artest was actually supporting his teammates from the bench and he showed no signs of rebellion. He said he wanted to play but he wasnt angry. He said it was Carlisle's decision and he supports any decision the team makes. Please dont make this out to bigger than what it is. This is how sh*t gets started and then U have people disliking players because of what they read in the media. Everything is fine with Ron Artest.
