According to Sam Amico, Nets and Bobcats have agreed to Humphries-Ben Gordon swap. Nets waiting to see what happens with Josh Smith first though.

This the only deal the nets were ever going to be able to pull off realistically they just dont have enough assets or expiring contracts to be able to bait for someone's star player like Smith or Pierce or whoever they have been linked 2. Marshon and Humphries deal are only going to get you so far..

Which begs the question why are they trading for Gordon when they have someone with the same skillset and younger in Marshon??

Good point a lot of teams could use a 6th man type scorer esp playoff teams like the Bulls or Pacers could be a good fit.

It'd be nice to see Gentle Ben back on a playoff team. He had some bonkers moments/games for the Bulls in the post season. That 08-09 opening rounder...still the GOAT 1st round series IMO.

Does anyone know if it's possible for the Rockets to flip Robinson to Atlanta for Josh Smith? I was trying to figure out if it could work with the trade machine but couldn't get a deal to work.

Also, someone on twitter is claiming that Josh Smith's dad told him that he's going to Houston or Phoenix lol.

Would love for Smith to be on the Rockets though he wouldn't sign an extension so I think the deal wouldn't be really worth it in the end.

For what it's worth, Beno Udrih and Sam Dalembert were pulled for the 2nd half of the game tonight. Their salaries = Josh Smith. Potentially Udrih + Dalembert + 1st round pick? $13 million in expirings and a mid 1st round pick?

Edit: Also, supposedly Nets are denying a trade for Ben Gordon.

According to Sherrod Blakey says Bass and Green might not be Celtics when the deadline hits.

Don't believe it, mainly because who would want either contract.

welp according to Michael Lee..Wizards are no longer pursuing Josh Smith.Ted and Ernie always tease us Wizards fan on making a splash..first they said they're trying to trade for Harden, then Gay, now Smith..and drops out of it..oh but we can trade for guys like Mike Miller,Randy Foye,Trevor Ariza, Emeka Okafor

FYI that Hump for Gordon deal is officially off. Woj and a few others said so a few minutes ago. Don't know why Amico says it is still on.

Brooks isnt seasoned enough to get inserted into any contenders rotation.

It was rumored a few times that Smith would like to play here. The problem is that signing him would mean no second max player to go with Harden.

I doubt the Rockets will flip Robinson for Smith or say Millsap/Jefferson because it will take away their cap space.

I have to man, i'm a fan. =) Still not over how good the Rockets could have been though had Yao and Mac never had their injuries.

I do want to see them make at least another move by the deadline, nothing major but I would like to see something.

The shot selection between the 3 of them would be absolutely brutal, but after overpaying Drew Gooden and John Salmons and all these other guys, it would be nice to overpay someone that's actually all-star caliber for once.
