I guess I'm in the minority when I say I liked both of Evans last two dunks.

I liked the theatrics of the first and was dying when he unveiled the painting.

Then how he seemed to defy gravity a bit on the second one was sweet.

Terrance Ross won this outright though.

Overall the dunk contest wasn't that great, but you have to admit, Terrence Ross was great in contest.

50,49 and even TNT guys said both his final round dunks were 50s.

Voting was closer than I thought it'd be. Did Evans dunks really deserve enough to get 42% of votes?

Prob the best winner dunks since 09 with Nate(Kryptonate).

I just hated how the TNT guys(Specifically Chuck) buried the entire dunk contest before it got started. These guys could do 720 dunks, and he'd be like "Who was that? If it's not Lebron or Blake, I don't care".

Though I think it was Chuck(or Shaq?) who said Toronto was his fave city to visit on road games? Real surprised by that.

Even with Ross(my pick) winning, I think dunk contest needs to get rid of fan voting.

Nope I liked his last two dunks as well. It's just that..after Terrence did his first dunk in that last round...the contest was already over

I guess I just don't like gimmicks if you aren't going to go big IMO (his first dunk soured me big time). I did like the 180 reverse with two balls (PAUSE). It would have been sweeter had he gotten as much elevation as he did on his last dunk, but alas all he did was manage to look like a tall guy with arms the size of a giraffe's neck .

This was a waste. All the hype the dunk contest received and it came out flat. There were a few good dunks, but nothing that made me want to re-watch the entire thing again.

Chuck needs to keep calling out Lebron and Blake for not doing the contest. It was unfortunate the producers cut him off..

Still that was the highlight of my night. Chuck speaks the truth.

Finals was good. the rest average at best. Commentary was good as it always is.

But pls get rid of that format.

Crowd shouldn't have played a factor in if they(TNT guys) liked a dunk. It doesn't matter if crowd got off their seats or not. Arena was like half empty the entire time. And if James Harden or even Yao Ming couldnt get a reaction in tonight in Houston, nobody could!

Now Ross hopefully will be back in 2014 to defend his crown. This time, less nerves. Who knows, Nate might be on his team then too.

I saw the VC tribute coming the second after his 1st dunk was over. They showed him holding the jersey, so you knew he'd do something. I was hoping it'd be the elbow in the rim or something.

The Finals of the dunk contest was good, the rest was pretty meh. But how did James White only get a 45 on that 1st dunk compared to how they rated some of the others and Faried 1st dunk was definitely more than a 39.

The mic wasn't working for Terrence Ross though, technical fail by Nick Cannon not holding the mic close enough.

lol. If anything, I think Raptors should just hold their own dunk contest in April(after their season is over, but NBA playoffs is going on). Derozan,Ross,Gay and possibly Nate(Bulls left deal involving Nate on table for Raptors to accept if they want.....). That'd be better group of guys competing in dunk contest than any official NBA dunk contest in recent history.

But seriously though, I don't get the problem with those no name players entering the contest. That's how guys make a name for themselves. How many people knew Vince Carter that well before 2000 dunk contest? Or Jason Richardson?Josh Smith? Nate Robinson? The dunk contest is what made them a known name in the NBA. It's just the fact that the commentators are burying the guys in past couple of years which hurts them.

It's hard to get familiar with a player, if all the commentators are saying (in what is likely one of the only times most people will ever see this guy) is a bunch of negative things about how the guys are no name players who barely plays.

They said that about Ross and Faried too. Faried is a starter for Nuggets and Ross plays 17 mins per game(behind DeRozan/Gay) in his ROOKIE season, don't get how that counts as a guy who barely plays.

Ya, some of judging was strange. Actually surprised Ross got 50 on that dunk he missed abit. That White dunk was a 45 though. There were 4 50s and 1 49, but only 2 dunks(of 12 that got judged) I thought deserved a 50(1 was Ross and his 49 dunk, the other was the 50 dunk from the west).

I hope Dwane Casey is watching. Ross deserves more minutes. Get rid of Fields, get rid of Kleiza. Let Ross play! He needs to work on shooting at the NBA level, but once he does...watch out!
