I see your point Maroon, but do the Knicks need Marbury to sell Knicks tickets or merchandise?? I don't think they do. Yes, Marbury is a homegrown player, but this is a city of 20 million who will see the Knicks given the opportunity and who continue to buy the merchandise although they have been down the last 2 years. Cheaney will bench Marbury if needed and I really don't see Thomas demanding that he play if Cheaney did bench him.

Re: Starbury returns to NYC?!?
Yeah I see why some of the Knicks fans are so happy he is an upgrade definatly, but they aren't living in this place I call reality, some are acting like they should be reserving the NBA finals tickets right now. Him going to the Knicks doesn't make him a team player, if anything I fear it may make him MORE selfish. KVH better have better numbers now that Starbury is there, I mean a GOOD point guard will get you a couple easy buckets a game, a GREAT PG will make you better than you may be, and KVH isn't that shabby as it is, so now he SHOULD look like and ALL Star. That goes for Allen Houston too.Comment

Re: Starbury returns to NYC?!?
Draft picks for next year aren't looking all that wonderful it seems. Most guys that came out this year were considered players with "upside', and it may not be much more next year.
Penny, and Marbury are two players that have played on the level of all-stars. Phoenix has taken on broke knee McDyess with his contract and Eisley. Ward is cool, and Lampje didn't seem to be in favor of many people either.Comment

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> I'm sorry but you're being foolish, if he wanted to win he coulda stayed in Minnesota, many of his past teammates have said he's selfish, averaging 20 and 8 doesn't mean you're unselfish. I'm assuming you're like 12 cause you think 8 assists means you're not selfish, good one kid. And noone player adds 5 wins "easily". Just wanted to win too badly, that's why he'd take teammates out of sync by not moving the ball on offense, ask any of those Minnesota and NJ players they don't miss him. LOL wanted to win too bad. LOL.Comment
