I think the Grizz are a great team playing in a tough conference.

Hardaway is Memphis born and bred, he is loved here. Hardaway would sign for not too much to play at home in front of his family and friends. Never underestimate the power of home. Hardaway can play 3 positions coming off the bench, that makes him wanted.

Plus, there are all those rumors of the Grizzlies doing a sign and trade in the off-season to acquire Kobe Bryant. After a multi-player, and maybe even multi-team deal gets done, Penny could come in and provide veteran leadership to a young club. He is still skilled, and like squid said, is very versatile.

I could see him taking a 2 year/3 million deal like Karl Malone took to play for the Grizzlies. His deal would have a mutual option for the second year if he decided he wanted to play another year. That would be something very sensible he could do.

Penny Hardaway is still one of my favorite players of all-time. It's just too bad he was never able to live up to the expectations everyone had for him.

I hope he does go to Memphis and finishes out his career in front of his family and friends. He deserves it.

Penny lived up to expectations when he was healthy. Too bad he has had 3 ACL tears on his knee which has hurt is career a lot. I still like seeing him play and he still plays fairly well.

Yea, I don't think you can blame Penny for how his career has gone. He has had bad luck with his knee, at least he is still able to play which is what I'm sure Grant Hill is thinking.
