Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I'm much higher obviously mainly because this a PnR league and he's one of the best at that.
I just don't think his "Lack of athleticism" will be a major role because he is crafty.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Actually, I meant to leave his name out. I was listening to DC980(Sports Talk Radio)and they were talking about the Draft and his name popped up and I accidently typed his out when I didn't mean to, lol.
But yeah, their only choice to take should be Porter. I would say Oladipo but not sure if I would like them taking him at 3.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I hate ESPN980 but if i'm the Wizards I honestly take a hard look at Zeller. Is it a slight reach? Yes but he would give the Wizards a legit big man i think Zeller ceiling is 15-18 PPG and maybe 7-9 REB. Now is that dominant? No but the Wizards have no consistent scoring threat something easy.Actually, I meant to leave his name out. I think with Zeller him and Nene along with Okafor and maybe Booker,Vesely(
) Kevin Seraphin would be a pretty good rotation of big men going forward.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
I wouldn't take Zeller at #3 but that if they were to trade down, then it would be interesting.
But Porter would probably make an impact right away since he would most likely start right off the bat, especially if they lose Webster in FA and I have no doubt that he could be out Chris Singleton for that starting spot as well.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
That's the thing they already tried filling that 3 role for years.Drafted Vesley tried making him a 3 Chirs Singleton hasn't panned out yet. I like going forward Wall,Beal,Zeller much more than Wall,Beal,Porter.I wouldn't take Zeller at #3 but that if they were to trade down, then it would be interesting.

An example of this was in 2008 when the Thunder picked Westbrook over Love. For last what 3 seasons what has been the Thunder achilles heel? They have no post play at all. Same thing would happen to the Wizards if they get Otto. You would be great on the perimeter but where's that give me bucket? What happens when Wall struggling or Beal shot is off? If I'm the Wizards I go Zeller honestly.Comment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Vesely is already a lost cause on this team and does nothing except rack up DNP-CDs on this team and Singleton is not too far behind and with Webster possibly leaving then doesn't that create an opening at the 3?
Like you said, they already have Nene, Okafor, Booker and Seraphin so where would Zeller's minutes come from? Not to mention, they've already said they want to make the playoffs now(and they very easily could considering how they played looked when Wall, Beal and Nene were on the floor together)and they won't move Nene or Okafor since they like the Veteran presence/leadership from those guys and they also like Seraphin to basically replace Nene when he's done, which he probably will. I just feel for this team, Porter is the "safer" pic, especially for someone like Ernie who's job is probably on the line with this draft.
Plus, when it comes to developing bigs I don't trust this team to develop someone like Zeller to become a great player for them or someone that you can dump the ball down low to and be confident in them getting the basket every time.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 05-23-2013, 04:53 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Let the old "smoke screen" games begin...
Cavaliers Considering Otto Porter With First Pick
Otto Porter Jr. is under consideration by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick, according to a source with knowledge of the team's thinking.
Porter is a sophomore forward out of Georgetown.

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
If Porter falls to #3, I think that would be an easy pick for the Wizards. They were a decent team when Wall was healthy.
After watching Zeller play a lot this year at IU, I wouldn't touch him.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2013 NBA Draft Discussion
Not just that he seems to make the right play every time. His ability to get into the paint in college(which is more difficult to do in NCAA than the NBA because a lack of spacing) and make great decisions is what I'm looking at. Also how he paces himself and the game those things are far more rare than a 40" vert.
I think he's special and more than athletic enough to handle all the other things like finishing at the basket or defending at an acceptable level. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment
